What do you mean? Well, alum Vs SS the sound is the same with either. What’s different is the construction. Aluminized gets a 1 year warranty and SS lifetime warranty. If you plan on keeping the truck a while SS will last forever. If you just want a quick fix at the lowest price then you could go alum. Some people want the peace of mind for SS and others don’t care

Gibson to your door, Fedex, no sig. Also, I’m an AUTHORIZED DEALER from Gibson, so full warranty is valid!

UPDATE also, for those ordering the side dual with the BLACK TIPS, the whole exhaust pipe is now also black. This is the LATEST VERSION of this one and it's better this way since you see more of the pipe and tips out the side. With the end pipe being black and the tips, it's just more badass than it was before

So does the aluminized vs stainless selection matter if you choose dual exhaust + black tips? Or is it matte black painted stainless/aluminized depending on what you choose?
Also, any video of the dual on a v8? So far I can't find any on youtube that have that combo.

Yes, you can't get the black tips with aluminized tubing on the dual, as they are welded on. If you want black dual tips on aluminized you'll need to do yourself.

Oh, ok, Yea, you could probably do that. Id' probably use a high temp paint. The black ceramic is super durable and won't come off, but that might work.

I got mine installed last weekend. Loving it so far. It is louder then the stock exhaust but not overly loud. Sounds deeper if that makes sense. Truck seems more responsive as well when accelerating.
Install was straight forward. Hardest part was dealing with the rusty spring bolts connecting the two flanges. I used a torch and combination of PB blaster and kroil and was able to get them off with a breaker bar without breaking/rounding them off.
Jason was great and very responsive in answering any questions. Also cheapest I could find it online.

***NOTE. Those that are ordering the BLACK dual tipped system, these are taking longer to make right now as these are a full custom setup (meaning, for black version, the pipe and tips are sent out to the ceramic coater, then plated in ceramic, then send back to Gibson, then packaged and shipped directly to you from Gibson) Before, the black tips/end sections were going out much faster and Gibson just gave me this update. Point being, anyone that ordered/orders the dual tipped BLACK versions, it's going to be about 2 weeks - I was just told this. Any other new orders will ship out in about 4-7 business days that aren't black

So... what's the deal with these and California? The more I search, the more confusing it gets. It seems like catbacks can't get CARB certified, but in theory you could get cited and have to prove that the catback doesn't contribute to emissions? It does seem like these are quiet enough to not get into noise level violations territory.
Gibson claims "all of our street exhaust products are 50-state street legal". But "street exhaust products" is kind of vague. What falls under "street exhaust products?"

Nothing to worry about. There is no requirements from CARB for Exhaust – whether it be Toyota, Ford, Dodge GM etc etc – There are no smog components on Cat Back Systems and the reason why 100% of exhaust Mfg’r sold in California are Cat Backs. No issues with CA except CA sales tax.
