Gibson exhaust installation issues

Hi all. Just got a gibson exhaust with the ceramic tips for my v8 4runner. For the life of me I can't get it to line up properly. The over the frame pipe keeps hitting the frame. No matter what I do it does not stop hitting the frame. I removed the hangars, used band clamps, rested a pad under the pipe to keep it positioned while I tighten everything up. Nothing works. Anyone have these issues?

I'd call Gibson and let them know, maybe you got a mis-bent pipe somehow.
But on the other hand, some aftermarket exhaust systems do not line up perfectly and "malletizing as necessary" is required!

Are you able to post some pics? that could help someone here to help you diagnose the fitment issues

I’d recommend reaching out to them. Pipes aren’t always the way they should be out of the box. Dont be afraid to do some custom fitting as well :clap2:

Gibson install

I'm using the dual side exit kit. It was rubbing/vibrating in a few places, but was due to 300k mile mounts. I replaced all the mounts and noises were gone.

Sorry for the late reply. Took it to a muffler shop( got screwed on the price ) but i needed it done and it's all set. they readjusted it and welded the 2 piece tailpipe.
