Give me your opinion on wheel color!

I can't decide whether to paint my wheels silver (Original) or keep them gunmetal. Some pictures I like the silver others the gunmetal. I like the contrast of the silver on the dark body, but the dark wheels look good too........... :shrug:You decide.

I say go back to silver. My wheels are gunmetal also, and they look nice, but not so much on my truck. Im going back to aluminim machined wheels soon. I dont like chrome, but I think there are cases where gray or silver wheels look nicer than any other color. Especially against darker body colors. gunmetal and black look good on silver and white trucks. but it seems to me alot of times guys just get caught up in the hype of having black or gunmetal or whatever color rims, when silver would genuinely look better

I'd have to disagree. I find his truck looks great with the gunmetal, and black would look good too.

I do agree however, that some guys get caught up in the hype, and mess up perfectly nice rims, by painting them black. I'd also like to add, that alot of those same guys, really mess up the looks of their trucks, by rhino lining body panels...that aren't meant to be rhino lined.

That's just my opinion though, one of many....so take it for whatever it's worth...

Silver. I got tired of black on black and I suppose you're getting tired of gunmetal on anthracite, which is why you posted this thread :shrug:

Ya I agree his truck does look good with the gunmetal rims. And I like the color of my rims. They just dont look that great on my truck. But painting them was a good idea as they were starting to show some rust spots. And I feel the same way as you - my opinion is just my opinion. Not the law! but for my truck im planning on going back to silver/gray/polished aluminum

Yeah, since the chrome is almost completely gone, I thought about adding a little more contrast. The only chrome left is the front bumper. That'll be gone soon with any luck.

The comparison shots of your rig are biased because the shot with the gunmetal color has a 33" KM2 being stuffed, and the shot with the silver rims has 31" (?) A/T tires. No fab'd rear bumper in that pic either.

The gun metal does look really good on that color truck though... Keeping it as-is would be much more convenient!

Keep the gunmetal! I personally love the look of darker wheels on any color. It may sound weird, but I think silver looks more "bling" and darker looks more rugged. That's my opinion, but build the truck for your tastes.

Definitely keep it the way it is. On your rig, silver looks too stock-ish and black has been too played out already. My 2 cents.
