GMC/Toyota rim match

I have been told from a friend that 18" P265/65/R18 GMC 6 bolt rims will fit my 06 4runner no problem. I currently have the same stock/factory tire and bolt pattern but I don't know if the spacing or rim depth would be the same, I don't think he is an expert so I will defer to the experts on this site that might know the real answer.

I believe they'll work fine as the lug pattern and the bore size is the same IIRC. As for backspace/offset I don't know. What are the specs (width/BS) on the GM rims?


The reason I replied is to point out a potential lugnut challenge. You may need to get a set of conical lugnuts to use with the GM rims. IIRC GM doesn't use the same style lugnuts as Toyota.

Even if they do fit, why would you want to put GMC rims on a 4Runner?

There is a set of new tires that I looked at that are on GM rims so I thought I would run those for the winter and save my nice rims from eating salt and sand all winter long, they are a good winter tire and I would basically be getting the rims which are new for free......... at least that what I was thinking.
