Gobi ladder questions

I've looked through the numerous threads about Gobi ladders, but have a couple of questions:

First may be a long shot, but is anyone running a Gobi ladder with a 1-Up USA bike rack (2-bike version) on a 5th Gen? I love the bike rack and have a Gobi rack/ladder coming, and I'm suddenly wondering if the ladder is going to stick far enough off the back of the vehicle to interfere with the bike rack when it's folded all the way up? Alternatively, can someone tell me how far the gobi ladder sticks out from the back of the 4runner at its farthest point?

Secondly, I'm just wondering if anyone has put clearbra or other paint protection on the lift gate near where the ladder rungs are? Seems like the ladder sits close enough to the truck that you'd be likely to kick/scuff the paint with your feet when using the ladder.

Shouldn't have any clearance issues with the rack, I have a Thule but have seen others with the 1-up and Gobi listed, there is good clearance.

I use my ladder probably more than most folks and have never had an issue scuffing.
