I have no issues with my set up. I know Tepui had a deal where you can order both from them at one time. At least last time I checked the did. That is if you aren't set on a CVT.

I found that the adjustable crossbars supplied with the Gobi are too narrow for the width of the mounting rails on my Tepui. I ended up just using a chopsaw to cut the mounting tracks of the Teupi down to the appropriate width for mounting them in across the width of the tent floor and securing them to the outside rails of the rack. Get yourself shorter mounting bolts though, the supplied bolts from Tepui were too long for me.

Looks like their deal is now a Baja Rack with tent or a Front Runner Rack with tent. You get a 10% discount when ordering both together.

I'm not interested in the Baja Rack and the FrontRunner, while they say full length, it looks more like 3/4 on their website.
Regarding CVT vs Tepui...
When I priced them both out, the CVT surprisingly came out a little less expensive. I've not heard anything bad about either brand so I'll just go with the less expensive one of the two (especially since I won't be getting a discount).
I really like the method that KiruxaT4R has used to mount a RTT with the AXIA clamps. I did contact CVT and they didn't see any issues with the AXIA clamps, they did recommend that the clamps be manufactured of 6000 or 7000 series aluminum alloy.
FYI, the AXIA clamps are made of 6061 aircraft aluminum per the AXIS vendor. The vendor also recommended using a minimum of 8 (which I don't see a ready method of doing by looking at photos). I'll probably revisit KiruxaT4R's method again once I have all components in hand.
I'd really like to hear feedback from KiruxaT4R on how that method has performed...

nice setup. looking to do the same on my 5th gen.
Just bought Gobi Rack with no crossbars, I have a tepui tent coming...
Any new thoughts on mounting RTT perpendicular to length of truck (I.E. mounting without crossbars)?
It just seems like when braking or accelerating quickly, it leaves a possibility for tent to slide forward or backwards...
Is it better/safer to fork up the extra cash and purchase the adjustable gobi crossbars to mount RTT?

That really depends on the width of your tent...
My CVT Mt. Shasta Summit required the cross bars because it's not wide enough. The cross bars also make it easier for me to mount/unmount the tent since it's hard to squeeze my hands between the tent and the mesh floor of the rack.
I have a 2nd set of crossbars that I use for other items (i.e. kayaks).

I have a Tepui on my Gobi and you are going to have to have cross bars. I originally had it mounted on my Gobi removable cross bars and after realizing how much of a PITA it was to remove (I pull it off pretty often due to parking structures in the city) I started using some Yakima cross bars and mounts. It sits a bit higher now with the Yakima cross bars but they are longer and I use them as handles to pull it off. If you were going to leave it on full time the Gobi cross bars will be fine just make sure you mount the tent to the bars first then put the whole thing up. You also need to shorten the Tepui bolts so they won’t contact the mesh floor of the Gobi.
I don’t have any good shots but here are some examples of what it looks like on the Yakima bars.
If you were to try and mount it to open to the rear A it would take some modifications of the rails and you would probably get some sag on the floor due to it being mounted on the outer edges B you would lose the ability to open your trunk. The spoiler and trunk would hit the tent when open.

Bumping this thread as this was were I landed when I was searching for the best way to do this on my own Gobi Stealth. I ended up finding a a pretty good solution and thought I'd share.
Searching around I found the iKamper V2.0 brackets Mounting Brackets 2.0 and thought they'd be a great solution for the stealth since the bolts thread horizontally instead of vertically. I bought a set, and obviously out of the box they didn't fit, but I was able modify them pretty easily. I drilled out the rivets and removed the top bracket the mounted them to the T-nuts that came with my tent using bots and lock nuts.
The fit perfect on the stealth with about 3-5mm of clearance to the basket mesh, and they are super easier to install and tighten from the front and rear of the tent, I just use a 12" extender on my socket wrench. No need for small hands or arms!!

Has anyone mounted an Alu-Cab Gen 3 on the Gobi Stealth No-Rise option? Looking at getting the Bush Company Alpha on there this spring. The tent can stay on full time for now. Maybe try the Gobi removable crossbars. Mount the tent then put the crossbars on the roof. Hoping this will make it easier as I just need to secure the crossbars near to the side of the rack.

Did this interfere with the rise in the front of the rack? Clearance between tent and hatch when open?

I think I am going to try this method. How easy/hard was it to drill out the rivets? Did you use a hand drill or drill press?

So I ended up purchasing these brackets and modifying them to work with my tent since they only fit into the iKamper mounting rails. Instead of drilling out the rivets, I just used a cutting blade on an angle grinder and took off the vertical walls of the upper "U" bracket so it just became a flat horizontal plate instead of a "U". Then I ground down each side of the flat plate a bit to fit into the mounting rails of my tent. Worked like a charm. If this site lets me upload a couple photos I will.

Wanted to revisit your modification to the Ikamper 2.0 bracket. How's it holding up? Did shaving the I bracket to a flat piece affect its structural integrity? I would imagine that it may bow out a bit if that piece wasn't strong enough.
