Gobi Rack Line-X question

I've been Googling the crap out of Gobi Rack + Lne-X to with no luck.

So I have a Gobi Stealth rack with removable crossbars & ladder due to ship this coming week. I've heard the powder coating doesn't always hold up to use and with Jersey road salt, I'm thinking about having the rack and probably the ladder sprayed with Line-X. Has anyone had this done? Is it a waste of $? Any recommendations?

had one installed for only about 5 months now. the PC seems well applied but i do already have a few scratches in it from use. my thoughts are that while it would be great to have a tough line-x shell it would come at what i imagine is a steep price and a substantial amount of extra weight on an already heavy roof rack.
for those reasons i would go with the standard PC and do touch-ups as necessary. however, i would also like to see a fully line-x'd Gobi so actually, ya do it

can't speak to what line-x costs in your neck of the woods, but they wanted $450 to spray my sliders. I would imagine a roof rack would be at least that much, if not more. my camel back rack has a few scratches in the powder coat, but it is easily touched up with rattle can
