Update: I was told Wednesday that my order was absolutely shipping today and that I would receive a confirmation email. Guess what didn't happen. I called an hour before they closed and left a message on the machine. Back in the dark again.

Ordered mine on Christmas Day. Spoke with gobi today. Said at least two more weeks. I'm #140 on the list. I'm deploying in May. Hoping to get it before then but we will see.

Well finally got ahold of them today. I was told, "shipping tomorrow or the next at the latest." I am still not holding my breath.

Called again today and finally was told it is out to ship and I should have it by end of the week or early next week. I'm not holding my breath until I get a call from the shipping company though.

It would be nice if we could track who received their orders from the original list. That way those of us at the tail end might have some idea of when we might receiver our shipment.

I don't think they ship in numerical order. I was 116 and I believe I was the first in the group to get mine

My credit card was charged yesterday which I'm assuming means my rack is being shipped. FYI, I was the first T4R member to place an order for this GB.. They most certainly do not fabricate and ship in numerical order. In any case, I'm certain it's worth the wait!

Finally!!!

did the local install today, took them about 90mins. I ordered Nov 28 and #32 on the list. 4th gen, stealth rack. removable cross bars.
there is a clear weight difference with the rack on. It is well built from initial reaction. They did lay down clear tape and foam under the visor to protect the roof which I was happy about. Mounting lights might be more difficult than I thought, I thought the tubes would be easier to get wires in to and enter the car keeping all wires hidden. I’ll look closer later, hopefully someone else can chime in and show samples of how they did theirs.

i chose the toolbox as an add on and planned on using it to store tow rope and cables. i thought it would be more flush to the rack but sticks up quite a bit more, there might be a toolbox up for sale soon. I’ll go get an awning mount after I get my tent and awning. in another thread someone already mentioned it, but the removable cross bars are not powder coated like rest of the rack.

#177 and last week I was told mine would ship Friday or Monday at the latest but haven't heard anything. Are shipment confirmations sent by email or is everyone kept in the dark until the shipping company makes the phone call?

Finally got a response from Gobi, my rack is supposedly in transit and should be delivered sometime next week.

I'm # 68 on the list and ordered a 3rd gen rack through Trail Duty. Hopefully that helps someone create an algorithm to determine the logic in Gobi's fulfillment process.

Just received a status update email from Gobi.

Somehow my rack went from already being in transit last week with an estimated delivery of the 5th or 6th, to the brand new status of "we will be trying to ship by the end of this week, at the latest early next week".

So last week my rack was already in the mail and now this week they hope to have it mailed out this week, maybe next week.

The only thing that has been confirmed is Gobi customer service is hot garbage.
