Gobi Stealth Rack & Thule Motion XT Alpine Roof Box

Have the Gobi Stealth (no front rise option) and wanted to add a roof box for those darned long XC skis. Ordered a Thule Motion XT Roof Box but had two concerns:

Mounting "claw" to mesh web deck of roof rack clearance - okay but not by much

Interference with front and rear rack cross members - again okay but not by much

Bottom line, fits great!

Happy to post pics if anyone has similar concerns and above is not clear as mud.

First pic shows "claw" clearance to mesh deck, next is clearance at front cross member, next two are clearance at rear cross member, then view with tailgate up and front and side views

BWMead - Did you end up mounting a Thule Force XL to your gobi rack? I am interested on how it fits.

Not a gobi rack but bajarack flat rack. I used a Thule aero crossbar setup on top of the rack to mount the Thule evolution cargo box along with whatever Thule accessories I need. It’s solid.

Thanks 555R! that is certainly an option. I have the Thule Aerobars and can use those should it not fit to the Gobi Crossbars.

You wouldn't be able to snag a closer picture of those 450r mounts attached to the rack would you? I have been trying to figure out the best path forward for attaching 2 Thule Hullivators to my Gobi Rack.
