Ordered my Baja Utility rack on 3/29 and received it 4/27. Only issue I had was the ladder came a week later but I still received everything before their initial ship date estimate so no complaints here.

Ordered my Gobi Stealth on April 3rd. A few days ago they sent me an update that it would ship "After July 4th" which would put it around 13-14 weeks.

I bought the K9 Rack from Equipt, - 2.2M (full length) roof rack. Its aluminum, so never have to worry about rust. Its a no drill set up and is rock solid. Recently we did 12 days over 2 trips out in the desert with a 200 lbs roof top tent and other gear on it and its solid. No Charge Shipping, and it arrived within 5 days from order. The rack itself is unique in that it has 5" wide slats running front to back with each slat having 2 slots that you can drop a bolt head into and bolt on accessories. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.
I called both Gobi and Baja about ladders and ended up ordering a Baja ladder due to a slightly better lead time as we are heading out for a month long trip in August too. Ladder seemed least expensive way to add some rotopax gas cans.

I was in a similar situation to you; trip planned for July. Ordered a Baja flat utility rack on May 10 and installed it on June 20. The ladder was a few days behind, but got it on today. The original ship date estimate was 26 June, so everything was ahead of schedule. Call customer service. They gave me the timeline immediately over the phone before I pulled the trigger.

I almost did the same thing you did, but some of the dates in other posts didn't look right and that's when I looked at the year haha.

I am in NW Ohio and will be calling GOBI in the am tomorrow to see what they say but if that fails my sis lives near Aurora and she will be dropping in to the shop to get some details if that fails. I will keep you posted. One distributor stated 7-9 week fab time?...decisions decisions. My trip is not till October so I have a bit more time, hope it works for ya

Uber convenient place to mount the Rotopax just remember to rig up a method to keep the hatch up because the pistons are going to have a hard time holding it open with that much extra weight.

OKAY, I just got off the phone with a couple of ladies from GOBI. they stated that there is in fact a "12-16" week time until delivery is expected, but most customers are receiving their gear at the 14 week mark.
There is an option for "rush fabrication" (which I take as they will send you someone elses finished product and push the rest of us back a notch) That was somewhere in the $500 range so I cannot imagine too many people adding 30% to the price... unless they have an overland adventure scheduled sooner than delivery is expected.
The good news that I got that I have not seen mentioned anywhere else is that with a military ID they offer either $100 off the rack or one free GOBI accessory. with the price of the accessories, and apparent quality I know which way I am leaning.
That said, mine is on order now and we will see if the truck or rack arrive in my driveway first!

I ordered a sunroof insert for my Gobi Stealth on April 19th through Trail Duty. Trail Duty didn't process my order until May 1st for some reason. I inquired about the order to Trail Duty this month three times and each time they said they'd contact Gobi and let me know. They also said they had some hard drive failure to explain the two week delay in processing the order. Each time I would get no update. They're just as bad at followup as Gobi (getting updates from Gobi for my rack last year was just a series of being lied to) but probably because Gobi doesn't get back to them either. Still waiting for the insert but no big deal. At least they're not Drabbits.

Baja Rack Ladder
Ordered a Baja Rack 5th Gen Ladder on May 22nd and they sent out an email a day later that stated my ladder wouldn't ship out till the 30 of June. Wouldn't have though it'd take that long, but we'll see how long it takes to get here from the shipping date they stated.

Ordered a BajaRacks ladder from TRDparts4U April 21st with a estimated lead time of 4 weeks. 10 weeks later it still hasnt shipped. They've given me no updates and won't answer my emails. TRDparts4U has been amazing by contacting me and trying to contact BajaRack but no luck. Crazy how it takes one company almost as long to make a ladder as it takes another company to make an entire rack.

Strange, I never had any issues getting a hold of Bajarack via phone. Called them multiple times (CS Line) during business hours and always talked to someone.
