Gobi vs Bajarack shipping time?

I just ordered a Gobi Ranger for my 2014 Trail today. She told me they expected 12-16 weeks. Ouch!

Inquired with Gobi via email on 10/16, haven't heard back.

any week now for mine. by ordering these racks I am assuming we are all gluttons for punishment. I wanted to share this website that will allow you to torture yourself even more, down to the second, to know how long you're waiting for the rack and not being able to do anything about it. enjoy.

Sorry to be that guy who quotes his own posts, but I received the email from Gobi about an hour ago, my rack is shipping this month sometime....

Ordered mine in July direct from GOBI, happy to say it arrived last week. . . Little longer then, no wait ALOT longer wait then I would have liked. But the rack is great looks and works amazing. I guess you get what you wait for or somthing like that.

Gobi's the worst about emails, and there time to make the products, I ordered a sunroof filler and it took them over 2 months to even send it, I'm going to see how long it will take to get to California on horse back from Colorado.

Placed an order for a BajaRack a few days ago and like I have seen on their site, a 6 week delivery date. Should have it just in time to surprise myself for christmas lol.

Ordered July 25...got the email today as well.
They must do batch runs of a model...
Anyways, I knew upfront the lead time, so not sure how I can be upset...so far it's been pretty easy.

Damn, I ordered mine July 4 and just got that email as well. Then again, I didn't get a confirmation for over a week. So I'm not sure whether to count the date I placed the order (obviously closed for the holiday) or the date they acknowledged the order.
Either way, I've passed the 16 week mark now. It's looking like 20 weeks is their new target. They should probably update that. I'm excited, though. I placed the order preemptively, knowing that by the time I was at the front of the queue, I would be ready for it.

I ordered my Utility Flat Rack with Sunroof cutout from BajaRack on 9/12/17 and they were upfront and told me it would be 6 weeks and it would most likely ship on 10/27/17.
On 9/29, I called and asked if they could add some awning brackets to the order and to have it ship with this - not a problem.
On 10/27, everything shipped as promised and believe it or not, LTL from San Diego to Chicago was Friday to Monday! I scheduled my residential delivery around my schedule for Wednesday. Everything arrived as promised and in perfect condition except for the brackets, which shipped UPS Ground. I talked to them today and they forwarded my tracking and they're out for delivery today.
These guys sold me an excellent product, shipped it via a quick mode of transportation which handled my large, awkward box well and without damage, and gave me excellent customer service along the way. Couldn't be happier with BajaRack.

I got the same message as several folks this AM to about my rack being ready in the next few weeks/this month. Its very common for aftermarket folks to do things in batch so they are probably like everyone else. I am lucky as I know I will get product as I have ordered from them before and am in Colorado.
If I were remote, like a lot of you, I would be likely much more concerned.

Ordered direct on last week of May 2017 (lets call it June 1); received Oct 30. What's that? 19-20wks? It was a long process but wifey knew the deal when we ordered and its for her 5th gen trail.. Happy wife = more toys for me..Lol, I mean happy life..
