I ordered the Gobi Ranger about 4 weeks ago and ask them to ship the ladder when it was ready. I received the ladder after 3 weeks. I was hoping to get my rack before the end of the year for my trip late December, but I don't think I will be that lucky. I will have to use my Thule rack that is on the 4runner now.

Finally got someone on the phone at Gobi. Rack is in production now, scheduled for freight at the beginning of next week. ETA end of next week or the beginning of the following week (while I'm out camping). This was just over the phone, not actual shipping email yet.
I am at 19 weeks right now, the phone ETA would put me at 21 weeks. Their original email stated 6-8 weeks, but up to 12 weeks for high demand.

I ordered a BajaRack on Oct 27th. They sent me an email with an estimated ship date of Nov 14th. It was shipped on Nov 14th and is scheduled to be here on Nov 17th. Prior to ordering, I emailed customer service twice to ask questions. Both times they replied that same day. After placing the order, I emailed once again to ask a question and received a prompt reply. I'm very happy with the BajaRack service. I really like the Gobi rack, but I'm not going to support a business with lousy customer service.
My Gobi stealth has been on for a couple weeks now.

- It took ~4 weeks longer than I expected and then they quoted; however I was ready for the wait and for that to be the case, primarily from reports on this forum.
- Gobi always responded to my inquiries. It may have taken a few days, but they did. Responses seemed faster when I used the website form for inquiry instead of email. I only asked them a couple times though and mainly knew it would be a bit.
- They twice reached out on their own with status and updated lead times (one of which was overly-optimistic).

Ordered July 31st from Trail Duty. Arrived Yesterday 11/14 unpainted, like I ordered.
Dropped it off to have it Line-X this morning.
With knowing peoples experiences before me, it helped me understand what to expect and not be surprised. Overall it has been a positive experience.
FYI, I talked to Gobi about the thread asking if anyone need help in General Discussion and they confirmed that they were the ones who created it, but they were unable to respond. I guess they've been blocked is what I was told.

The discount was $75. Unpainted, but still primered. Barely a enough to cause a dent in the Line-X bill.

Yep, didn't really see any reason to cover up the moon roof. They have cut outs but seemed to defeat the purpose.
OK I am out! I am in my 19th week waiting for my Gobi and my excitement has waned. Not to mention the missed opportunity of using it this last summer. I called TD and they said they would cancel my order and refund my money. I will see if they come through.
PS - I did get my Gobi Hi-Lift Mounts if someone wants them for $130 + free shipping.
I am going to check out the new SSO aluminum roof rack coming out next week. Lighter and sleeker looking IMO.
Hope I don't have regrets cancelling this far in :-/

Not only was their customer service horrible with returning my phone calls with meaningful information, but my only request was to have the rack this week so I could install it this weekend for a trip next week. Leslie told me 6 weeks ago that wouldn't be a problem.
Today after a lengthy hold, I find out my rack isn't even done and the earliest they can get it to the shipper is next week.
I don't know how this business still exists, yet here I am another moron plunking down my money up front to only receive zero updates and a ridiculously late product.
For those reading this on the fence, spend your money elsewhere.
