Thanks! I wanted to SE because of the hood scoop and V8 to tow a boat. I love love love it!!! I do want to do some upgrades but I am so new to this whole thing that I am not sure what to do. Here are a few ideas:

1. Grey WeatherTech DigitalFits - Ordered and will be here Friday
2. Something with the stereo.... no AUX for my iPhone??!!! Bummer. I also have a sub and an amp from my other car that was totalled and I want to put it in there I think but I dont know where to put it. I want to keep it all hidden and my 4runner didnt come with the upgraded sound system. So new head unit and speakers probably. I will need suggestions!!!
3. I want to level out how it sits so maybe a leveling kit? What do you think? I hate how the gap between the front tire and the body is lower than the back. I want it to look just a tiny bit lifted
4. Number 3 would lead to probably a tiny bit bigger tire, but I have no idea which ones. I like the looks of the BFG AT KOs.....?

damn this list is getting expensive and I still have to re-gear my Jeep... I better stop there for now

pacaudio makes an interface to connect the iphone/ipod to the factory head unit and I think they also make a wiring kit to connect a sub to the stock head unit. I can't say for sure, I replaced mine with an Alpine iPod receiver.

A lot of people like the FJ cruiser spring option because it is pretty cheap (in TX you can prolly find a set for free or under $100 with shocks) and everyone I've seen review it says the ride is much better than stock and less bouncy. I have FJ cruiser springs and bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable shocks for about 1.5-2" lift in the front and ~1/4" in the rear.

Unless you lift a decent bit more you won't get much more than 265/70R17 or 255/75R17 which most say will still fit with no lift. I have 265/70R17 BFG ATs (they don't make a 255/75R17 or I probably would've gone with that) and I love them after about a month with them on. They ride and look great. They are about an inch taller than stock. The 255s are 1.5" taller but 0.4" thinner.

Oh wow, prefect, just what I was looking for!! I really like how the Alpine deck takes up the whole space in the second pic. What is the model number to that one and what all does it do?

The easiest way to find them is to check fjcruiserforums.com every so often, but you can also check the classified section here and at toyota120.com. Check fjcruiserforums.com first though, check the "Wanted to Sell" and "Give Aways" section. Craigslist is the only other place I know to check, but looks like you figured that one out.

If you really want the extended warranty, figure out the highest you're willing to pay for the vehicle w/the warranty before you go to the dealer. Negotiate down to that price w/ the warranty added or walk.

Edit!!! At 90k miles the V8 needs to have some expensive maintenance done. I would try to negotiate the 90k service instead of the extended warranty.

Yes I agree. The 90K maintenance would be good move.

I suggest not getting the extended warranty. Just change the oil and do normal maintenance as listed in the owners manual. :cheers:

Thanks. One more question... did you notice any difference in the ride going from the FJ coils just in the front to when you went ahead and added them to the back too?

Yes, the rear was softer than the front. Going over speed bumps and road transitions the rear would continue to bounce after the front had flattened out.
