Gold Digger

Shoot, I've driven down to their warehouse and spoken face to face with the flatbill hat douche-bro at the counter and they still can't get an order right or ship it on time. Fukem, I say.

Probably won't help. If you're not rubbing terribly you can try adjusting your steering stops. What size tires are you using?

33x12.50x15 on the SR5 Toyota wheels.

Thanks for the spacers Andy I may try to get them on before this weekend but I may not have time.

I had to replace the GM alternator I installed a few months ago. The wiring was FUBAR and got burnt to shit. The power stud on the back came loose and was causing the terminal to back off the stud.

How it should look:

How it sits:

I pulled it apart to see if I could just tighten it back down and this fell out:

So I said screw it and picked up a new alternator. Screw NAPA and their no honoring return *******s.

This weekend I went to URE for the day to hit some trails with some buddies. I had a blast lol it was a muddy mess! I had to lay on the skinny pedal in places, which is something I hate to do when wheeling, but it made for a challenging day. I did a nice little number on my front diff too, forcing me to finish the rest of Dickey Bell in 2WD. Which I murdered like a boss.

At the bottom of Daniel:

The furthest anyone could get up the first ledge was maybe another 3-4 ft into the mud hole in this picture. Everyone had to winch up. 4 trucks total and it took us maybe 30 minutes for everyone to give it a go then inevitably get winched up.

Coming up Dickey Bell. I had some trouble getting up this line because I couldn't find much traction, but I got up that with no body damage this time!

Then I did this at the top of Dickey Bell. Diff smash mod.

Hello ring gear :frusty:

HA. ive seen that pic before.

Im surprised it took this long to see someone from here.

I posted this pic in there on Sunday. What you don't see is OP behind us with his diff puking gear oil lol

First chance to be all cool and internet famous and my shit is broke.

Nice batch of pics!

Need one of these:

Toyota Pick Up Heavy Duty Differential Cover

Yeah you're telling me. I think I am going to try this. I was going to try to pull the 3rd member out today but school is swamping me this week.

Welcome, cool rig man!

Thanks!

Yea I showed him that, hell I might get it too. I'm nervous about my little TG small armor piece.

You have more clearance and better throttle control with your triple sticks. I wouldn't be too worried about yours haha but I like your idea of making a custom spider armor dealio.

I'm just worried I'll tag the area that isn't covered. I might not know it, loose all the oil and roast the gears.

Welp Gold Digger just keeps digging into my wallet. I noticed a leak between the valve cover and the head so I did a compression test. Valves 1,3, and 4 have great compression at 145-150 psi. Valve 2 on the other hand read ~112 psi, a 30 psi difference from the other 3. That reading indicates that the valve is still working because it still has some compression, but it is starting to burn or fail.

So now I'm running on 3.5ish cylinders and no 4x4. Just in time for winter.
