Short Notice

I'm heading up to Gold Lake Friday afternoon. We're camping fri night and wheeling heading home Sat. Short trip, nothing special, just thought I'd throw it out there in case someone is bored.

Dammit, got in early Friday morning, and just clicked in this section. Been dyeing to hit the hills.

I'll be there Memorial Day weekend for my bachelor party, oh she's gonna be so nice by then! I can't wait to have some fun, just hope you can have a fire. Last year the Rangers said no fires

How was it up there?

It was good fun. Still lots of snow up there. There were 1ft drifts on Gold Lake HWY and it was the same on the trails. Lots of downed trees that we moved off the trails. We lucked out and got Little Gold Lake spot witch was frozen over. There were no restrictions, just permits required for fires and grills. We made it to the top of the switchbacks but not too much further due to the snow hiding the trail. I'll toss up some pics and vids soon.

Awesome! I can't wait to get there in May, hopefully all that snow will keep the Rangers in good spirits about fires
