Hello everyone. I’ve trolled this forum for years. I started with a 2002 regular cab Tacoma lifted locked bobed etc. loved that truck. Then I had to part it out and sell the truck to pay for lawyer bills and get a better vehicle to moved my kids in better seeing their mother moved away with the 2004 4door Tacoma that was the family vehicle. Being on a very tight budget I picked up a 1999 base model 4runner with a 3rz and a 5 speed that wouldn’t pass inspection. I put a bunch of time in it and got a few parts from the Tacoma including a fisher plow. It served us well but it was time for an upgrade. The first time I saw a 5th gen Trail is knee I was going to own one. It took a while but I got it. It’s a 2012 Trail with 108k miles, bone stock, owned by an older couple. It didn’t even look like it saw a dirt road. I found it on cars.com so I flew from New Hampshire Philadelphia and picked the 4runner up and drove north. Within days it got treated to its first upgrade, a TRD Pro FJC suspension that was on close out. I added a daystar spacer to get 2.5” in front and 1.5 inch daystar spacer in the rear. I pulled the running boards and bug shield. And so she sits waiting for some new goodies. Sliders, maybe a pedal commander, 1.25” wheel spacers, and tires...
