I wouldnt spend over 9k for it not sure if thats cheap for where you live but in cali at least thats not too good looking everything looks a little run down and theres not too much special plus miles are a bit up there i got mine 98 runner 2wd for only 2500 and it had only 15k more miles

Hey, I'm in NC too. Our entire market is a couple thousand high. *IF* it is rust free (much harder here than else were) and everything works, that's not a bad deal for these parts. Only 2 owners, that's good. Let us know...

I live "somewhere in the hills NC" too! I paid $9800 OTD for my 2004 LTD V6 4X4 with roughly the same miles almost 9 months ago. I had to drive a few hours to get it, but it was a one owner with all service records and absolutely no rust. Cars Plus does have nice stuff, but I'd say $10k OTD tops on that one, and that's assuming the T-belt has been done.

edit: just saw the carfax and it shows the timing belt service. I'd keep looking though, seems pricey for the condition it's in. GL

Timing belt is done, that's why I am interested. 10k OTD sounds a lot better but the miles are still up there.

My brother is telling me to wait and this would be settling. So the search continues I think.

I think it's overpriced. I live in SC but just bought my 03 on Jan 18 at Scott Clark Honda in Charlotte. It's an 03 Limited 2WD with 158,000 miles. They were asking $9,300 as their online price, but I got it negotiated down to $8,000 cash. The tag on the window had the price set at $12,999 which I thought was crazy. Timing belt was also done on mine, has the same JBL system, and mine was a one owner in really great condition. The one you're looking at does have 4WD and less miles than my 4Runner but I wouldn't pay more than $9,000 at the most.

10k max. Wear is a little significant on drivers seat. I paid about that 2 years ago for one with 40k less miles that was quite a bit cleaner and did have the timing belt service done. I agree with your brother. Keep looking.

2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited Edition V8, 89K miles

This looks like a much better truck IMO. I would pursue this one and see if you could negotiate the price down a bit. The mileage is great and, depending on where you are in the NC mountains, I could hook you up with an awesome deal on a timing belt install (assuming it hasn't already been done).
