Good OEM Tune-Up Kits?

Hey, all.

As I prepare to head out on an 8,000 mile road trip in about a month I've been looking around for a good tune-up kit and have had trouble finding/verifying the OEM status of some of the parts from ones sold on Ebay.

AirCabinMan used to sell some good combinations but it doesn't look like he has much for the 3rd gens currently.

Is this one OEM/as close to OEM as it gets?

If not, anyone know of any good kits out there? I'm trying to avoid piecing it together from a bunch of different sources but will if I have to. Thanks.

Would like to have a kit that included:
--plugs (dual tipped, either Denso or NGK)
--wires (NGK)
--PCV valve
--fuel filter
--air filter
--drive belts

NGK plugs and wires, Mitsuboshi belts, OEM oil filter.
My only concern is the 'OP Parts' filters, but some quick googling shows decent reviews and it's hard to mess a fuel/air filter up.
Aircabinman is a good seller and I doubt he'd put together a lot that didn't work well.

That kit I linked is actually being sold by JDPartsMan but he too has great reviews. I agree about AirCabinMan, though. I've bought a few kits from him and everything about the experience was great.

Just out of curiosity, where did you see the kit for $85? When I click on the link I still see $100 (still a pretty good deal I think).

I don't think they are the same company, no. I think the description means it will be either Bando or Mitsuboshi belts, depending on availability, price, etc.
My TB/WP kit from him had Bando drive belts and a Mitsuboshi timing belt. All worked great.

Huh well that's weird, looking back at it. I first viewed this thread through my phone and it pulled up my eBay app. It said $100 at first, but when i put in my vehicle (4runner, obviously) to check, it dropped to $85. Looking at it again, now, it's staying at $100. Weird eBay.

The wires, plugs and fuel filter should be OEM, the rest don't matter. So yes that's NGK for the plugs and wires, and DENSO for the filter. I'm acutally running Duralast wires since I needed some in a pinch but they work just fine. Air filters are air filters, and the PCV valve is about $2. Make sure you pick up a PCV valve grommet, I'll bet you $5 yours has solidified into a rock.

Drive belts can be whatever brand you like.

I've been using a WIX fuel filter for the past 55k with no issues at all, FWIW. Around $18 on Amazon. Bought it when I first bought the 4runner. Can still push 23 MPGs if I keep it under 2k RPMs.

I've heard good things about WIX, I normally pick up their air filters for our other vehicles and AMSOIL only sells WIX filters. Glad that their fuel filters are also up to snuff.

Only the plugs and maybe wires should be OEM. Everything else on that list you can get good brands off RockAuto. Wix makes excellent filters and I think the Beck and Arnley PCV is just a repackaged OEM unit. Drive belt you can get something premium...I really like the Continental Elite Poly-V which is the famed and rebranded Goodyear Gatorback.
