I'd like to know this as well. Coming from my Infiniti with an aftermarket setup I put together, the stock 3rd gen radio is TERRIBLE. :AK47:

I just finished installing a complete setup in my 3rd gen HU/front/rear/amp/sub and I took some pics along the way. Not a complete write up amount but enought to probably answer your questions. When I get home tonight I"ll post them up and a basic write up so you can see what you need to do. It's not that bad the tricky part was the inner door handle but by the time I got to the back doors i was a pro!

Can anyone confirm the speaker sizes for a 3rd gen?
Some sites say 5.25 some say 6.5 .. I just want to confirm before I order.

Pretty sure it's 6.5 in the front and 5.25 in the back.

6.5 in front but backs are actually 4", you can fit a 5.25" with an adapter you can purchase here:

I just installed a complete system in my 3rd gen and used these brackets in the back doors for some JL TR5.25 cxi and they worked perfectly.

I didn't and it sounds fine.... dynamat would only make it sound better i'm sure.
Crutchfield and most people say to put 5 1/4 in the rear, but there's at least one write up on here that says Infinity 6032si shallow mount 6 1/2 fit in the back doors perfectly with their included adapter rings. Another guy put JL 6 1/2 in the rear and only need to shim it a little to get them to fit, as they also come with the Intermount III adapter rings.
These are $100 a pair at Crutchfield and they go for a lot more than $55 on Ebay even. $55 is a STEAL with no tax and free shipping! They will go all the way around in a 3rd Gen, if you don't go with separates in the front. $110 and done is a CHEAP way to go for speakers that sound way better than stock...
