It's not racist. It could be called bigoted but Islam is not a race. I have never understood how people stand up and call something racist but don't know what're it's actually means.
Racism is bigotry it but not all bigotry is racism. Caucasian, Africans, Asians are all examples of races. The klan is racist because it doesn't like African people. You are bigoted if you don't like Muslims. See the difference?

I have muslim friends and it doesn`t matter how close you are they always will justify radicals killing non muslims (infidels). ( 9/11 terrorists are heroes to them)
There is absolutely NOTHING to like them for. Look what religion has been done to science and art in the middle east.
best mathematicians, poets, architects of ancient times were from there, all before muslims taken over the region. I don`t have to like muslims, christians or anyone for that matter, if that makes me a bigot so be it. :redbrick:

My post was in response to Thai letting HO jeepster know that it wasn't racism. Nothing towards you victor. I don't respect Muslims either. If they were protesting in the streets the radicalized attacks and calling for peace and a stop to the radical Islamic terrorism then maybe I could respect them. But they just keep quiet. So in essence they are supporting it by not speaking out against them. And no your not bigoted in my opinion. As radical Ismail has called for the death of America and Israel. So if they want to destroy my way of life I am all for keeping them the Fvck out of this country. They can go live in other middle eastern countries.

Except those pushing sharia also did the same thing to them. Afghanistan in the 50's and 60's, at least in the cities, was damn near civilized.
The Soviets came in pushing communism, which birthed (with our - US - help, sadly) the mujahideen. The Soviet / muj fighting and eventual stalemate & withdrawal destabilized the country and weakened the central government enough that they were no longer able to provide safety/security to the outlying provinces. Which in turn created a power vacuum there, which was filled by former muj warlords with nobody to fight anymore, who hung their hat on whatever ideology was able to fill their ranks - and bank accounts - conveniently.
Eventually they amassed enough strength (through coalescing into a thing called the Taliban) that they became a military/governmental force of their own and basically took the country over except for a small portion in the Panjshir.
They brought Sharia with them. The populace didn't have much choice in the matter because they couldn't count on the weak central government or military to protect them from a superior force. To them it was comply or die (along with their entire family).
Sound familiar? Because it's basically what happened in Iraq when we left.
Anyhow, if you want a super depressing Friday night read, hop on over to Google image search and look up what Afghanistan used to be like before the late 70's. Same with Iraq before 2003. Or better yet google the "Paris of the Middle East" to see what Beirut used to be like before the 1980's.
It's not about protecting their way of life. Oh, to have such luxury! These people are fighting for survival, caught between their oppressors and the just as deadly munitions of those who are attempting to liberate them from said oppression. They, much like you or I, will do whatever it takes to ensure the survival of their family.
They know that betting on Daesh whilst occupied by Daesh will give them a higher probability of surviving said occupation. And when the central government liberates them, great, boo Daesh and such, long live the central government. But until that happens, they're going to go with the winning team because in this case, going for the other team will get you and your family slaughtered.
