GooseGear Plate / Drawer System Installed

Good afternoon,

I removed the factory sliding rear cargo tray from my truck and installed the GooseGear plate system, along with their two drawer module. I needed mine short (overall 6 inch height) as I have my dog with me often. The experience was fantastic, excellent customer service, and solid product. Here are some pictures.

Removed everything down to the bare metal floor and installed a barrier from Lowe's.

This is the barrier product I used as I didn't want to spend the money on Dynamat

Added some full time rear 12V rear outlets and Blue Sea Wired to AUX battery while I was there

Looks nice. What kind of weight can the drawer system hold? And does it have locks on it? (I think it does but little hard to see) I would love to put a collapsible rifle in it if I got one. But here in CA we needs locks on everything and just tough to follow the rules cause there are so many of them.

Looks real good. Hope one day we get a group buy on them.

Have you seen my GG system? I have almost 150lbs of fridge/slider on mine, no issues.

They're absolutely not overpriced. Sorry that I disagree with, if you do the math to build your own, with their same level of extrusions, and level of build quality, you end up at the same price if not higher.

Agreed.... I thought they were overpriced too, until I designed my own system... Now I am back looking and drooling at GG

Try doing THAT with something like this hanging off the top:

Being mechanically linked into the subfloor removes any doubt about stability. I'll tell you everything was strapped in for Mojave Road (no goose gear at the time) and everything came loose and threatened to smash out windows.

Looks like this was answered above, but my crate is 50 pounds and the dog is 87. No problems perceived. The drawers come with locks.

I priced ARB and others. I also priced doing it myself. GG came out the best and cheapest bang for the buck.

The plate system was appealing to me for a couple reasons. First, it is a DIRECT bolt in to the floor and creates a perfectly flat space. The bottom of the plate system has been shored up and engineered in the "voids" to create a flat surface, level with the loading area. Second, the system is fill with mounting attachment points for various modular systems from GG. You can have two or three "setups" and simply bolt them in and out.

I am ordering materials to build mine, but I am away from my truck at present. Does the little "floor cubby" in front of the sliding tray come out as well? I had my girlfriend send me some dimensions, but she wasn't sure if it came out. Tray is 32" long and that is an additional 9" correct? Looks to me like it just comes out with a couple bolts, then it's one uniform level from the bottom of the seat to the back, in respect to the mounting holes anyway.

Is the GG base 3/4"?
You said your box is 6" is that overall or drawer space?
How deep are your drawers themselves, and are you happy with the storage capacity?

Awesome looking kennel, nice work.
