This picture is of the US House of Representatives election in Texas in 2004, same day as the Presidential Election.

Texas was Republican by 57%, Democrats won 39% in the US House.

The two pictures above showing a 2004 to 2008 seem to be very wrong.

by no means am i saying that this will happen in the event that texas goes blue, however it's happened in the united states before. the electoral college isn't there for the benefit of the people, the idea of it is that the electoral college chooses who it thinks is best for the country, that was the idea at least. popular vote wasn't always considered in presidential elections.

Well it seems to me that the first picture of a mostly blue Texas implies that Democrats won Texas in 2004. They didnt.

If the blue doesnt represent Democrats then at the min, it is confusing. At least it snagged me up reading from my phone.

How am I being a troll? There is a difference between the electoral college and the electors.

I said electors have gone against the popular vote of their state 83 times, however I said it never changed the outcome of an election. In the end the electoral college vote is what matters, as it is what decides who becomes president, not a few defacto electors. What I said in my question is true, the electoral college has never gone against the will of the people as a whole.

Rob Portman for VP? I just don't see it. He is bland (have met in person, briefly). Yes, I can't form my feelings on him about a 30 seconds meeting, however that is how voters will judge him that way.

I think it is media hype. Really no news out right now.

Rubio is interesting, however I don't know how much substance is there.

I was elected as a Delegate to my county, district and then state conventions and I can tell you that Romney does not have even close to enough delegates.

Ron Paul won Colorado, Minnesota, is going to win Iowa, Missouri, Texas and probably Maine.

Edit: Ron Paul also feels very good about Nevada and California...
