Still don't know what you are trying to get out. If you were black or hispanic (you may be) you would be inclined to vote for a Democrat because of their policies. It is "normal" for people to vote for someone who will represent them.

BTW, it is not surprising. that staggering amounts black voters supported Obama in overwhelming numbers. You just have to look at the history of the US. including slavery, Jim Crow and modern day. I lived in South Carolina for a year by the way so I am not just some Yankee who has never been to the south.

So you have no problem with our spending? I believe that it's out of control. Our government is becoming too large. Even Obama says that we need to cut spending and has signed legislation into law.

Again if you look at the simple facts, the size of government is getting smaller every year and has been shrinking since the mid 90's... What people point to as a masive increase in the size of government under Obama are actually a middle class tax cut and a considerable increase (for the first three year) in military spending. If we simply paid taxes at the levels we did in the late 90's, and brought the soldiers home, we would not only have a surplus today, but we would be less than a decade from completely retiring all of the federal debt... But that is all woulda coulda shoulda.

If you want to balance the budget and keep taxes at their ridiculously low levels you are not just cutting social security but you are eliminating it (and hacking the defense budget in half) these are simple realities, this is simple math.

Lets not forget that taxes have never been lower, the debt has never been hirer and unemployment is a huge mess... Contrast that to where we were in 1999.

It is completely normal, and expected, blacks vote democratic, this isn't news and isn't new... look at the black turn out for Clinton.

It's not-- wealth is created, and earned. Taxes are appropriate for constitutionally designated purposes that abide by the will of the constituents. Why is it that posts against social programs and Obama's platform seem to often come from republican college kids who have clearly been given everything due to their parents economic status.

I am often ashamed of how little regards people show their fellow citizens who have less than them. Newt should be ashamed for calling Obama the food stamp president.

Why are millions of people on food stamps? They are not all lazy. Many are just poor and didnt have parents that could pay their way through life. Do you all know that 40% of all families on food stamps are full time employed? Would you rather all those children starve?

I enlisted in the military at 18, I am now 29 with a degree in engineeing. I am proud of my service and consider it Patriotic to pay taxes.

Yes I do wish my money was spent better than it is now but I do believe government must have a role in that future. And I reject the republican logic that the US government cannot be trusted to govern at home but CAN be trusted to build nations.

We are supposed to look out for each other (eg. E PLURIBUS UNIM.) and I assume every sane person believes in the "American Dream."

Unfortunately that dream is disappeering and what i hear from these mainstream republicans is that we should tax the poor and give breaks to the rich. It is crazy that some people believe this rhetoric.

I'm not sure where you're getting I'm a republican, college aged or some kind of trust fund pampered kid? You know what happens when you assume though. I'm a moderate centrist that leans right and I'm 30.

I'm also curious about your tirade about the poor, I've not condemned them? The video I linked certainly pokes fun at the stupid though (read: typical Obama voter.) However I do believe people need to do a better job helping themselves rather than feeling entitled to some kind of government assistance. Also, 85% of statistics are bs.

It really is amazing that both parties have squashed anyone who may have been a viable independent. There has been some talk of Bloomberg and Scarbough (the guy from MSNBC) but I don't see that happening, ever.
