Gorman Offroad Trip (56K BEWARE!!)

I'm not sure. Gorman would be fun again if we had a smaller group so we could get to some of the tougher stuff, and go a little faster.

I want to go out to Anza Borrego soon.

Looks like mine before I put the DS 2" spacer in the rear. Just a heads up, on-coming drivers will hate you until you level your headlights.

It's really not a problem to disconnect the shocks from the line . ou just have to make sure all 4 wheels are off the ground and you can pull them off . One of mine has already been off with no issues. How do you think they replace a blown one .

I didn't mean any harm by my post. But most shops won't touch a pressurized shock system like XREAS so they don't want to remove it. I don't think I would trust them to do it even if they said they could. Like you said, the dealer did yours so they knew what they were doing.

I like it too. I have been contemplating the thought of getting one for my truck also, but have him re-measure it so it's closer to the body. He designed that light bar for 9" pod lights, which is why it sticks out so far. But I haven't decided when I want to order a SW bumper, so I am still unsure of the idea. It would be a lot cheaper than a bumper, that's for sure. And no 8 month lead time either is always a plus.

FYI: We installed FJ springs on the back of Blair's truck earlier today it it looks awesome. It's level with the front now, and after he gets his tires on tomorrow his truck will only be lower than mine by .5" at the most.

We always have the same CB's/antennas. If one of us upgrades, we both upgrade.

Even down to our tools, recovery gear, even our air compressors.

The only reason our suspensions are different is because his is a lease so he can only do spacers.

We're just really close friends. We talk every day, go on all of our offroad trips together, etc. So if he gets a cool mod, I want it; and vice-versa. It's a friendly "one-up the other person" system.

I figured. Gotta love those friendships! You both have inspired my 4R project greatly! Great performance while keeping the look of a 4R.

We've actually got a few epic trips in the works. One of which is Colorado. Maybe you could show us around on one of our stops if we ever get around to figuring out the details. So far we kind of just picked places. Colorado, MOAB, etc.

OOOOHHH....Count me IN! :bigok: :dancin: I would love for you guys to make a trip out here. Only problem is I leave in June for 3 months for Michigan working as a wakeboard instructor. Hopefully it doesn't fall in those dates.

I am running a 3/1 with FJ springs in both the front and the rear. I love how it looks and it rides very well, although the M/T's are definitely more harsh than my old Nittos. It will be well worth it off road though.
