Got 5th gen wheels for my 3rd gen

Got these wheels from a 2014 4runner off eBay for $250. I needed new tires and I knew I wanted to do the Tundra brakes. And I had the 15s before. So if I was gonna do it, it had to be now. It'll probably be a while before I get to the brakes. But in the mean time, they still look pretty sweet.

The tires are Continentals, good for 90,000 miles!

You know what those might by the 225 tires maybe. Idk but that set up makes it look like they're 20s ha

I got just the wheels about a year back for 200. I agree, they do look big on a stock setup, but lifted and bigger tires they look pretty nice imo

Oh nice, those do look pretty sweet with a lift. Yeah I got 225/65. Looking at it now I wish I'd gone a size up. But I was mainly trying to weigh overall cost vs. warranty. This was mostly not a cosmetic decision.

Nope, definitely 17's. Only the 5th gen limited wheels come in 20's and they look ridiculous on a 3rd gen. It's the 225 tires he wrapped the wheels in that make them look small.


No problem with that OP, I'm sure you get much better MPG with those than the rest of us...

You are correct. I remember now what those look like!!

The wheels are nice but the tires are too small. You could fit 265/65R17's with no lift or trimming. This was my old set up but with a 70 sidewall, I had 99 tall springs.

Those look great & I was going to get them but liked the TE wheels a little better. 17's look perfect on our trucks with a lift & 33's.

Plus you have no worries about the TBU. (which I'm doing tomorrow!)
