No, i found it locally at a dealership. An older couple traded it in for an Audi.

The KBB on it was like 16,900. I dont think i did that Bad on the price. Plus These things Are hard to find with decent miles, 4x4, and under 15 grand. Plus i wanted an 05for the 5spd.

Ill definately Start a build thread as soon as i get These parts ordered.

If you had gotten the V8, 03 and newer, it would have the 5 speed ECT-i.

I thought the 03-05 were 4-speeds, and the 06-09's were 5-speeds.

My 2003 V8 has the tranny that needs the fluid changed and flushed. My 2008 has the sealed tranny.

Have looked at a lot of 4runners this summer and that sounds fair to me. Used car prices are though the roof right now. Need to know if it has leather as that changes the price. However $18.5k for a '08 4WD w/ 34k is a incredible price. I would guess even a salvage title would sell for around that.

2003 up had the 5 speed for the V8. 2003 they used dextron IV fluid and moved to sealed WS fluid in 2004 and up. Sealed only means there is no dipstick. Fluid can still be changed with a different prOcedure.

It has the standard cloth. The seats are the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. Its like driving a couch. My dad has a brand new 2011 Trail edition and those seats are terrible. Back starts hurting after like 45 min of driving.
