Some kind of skeletonized skid plate in unfinished form.

Battery cage for a Diehard Group 31M. No modification needed to fit in OEM location and a top plate that is friendly to using fleet terminals. :bravo: :zoom:

We are looking at wrapping it up next week. I have the lid formed and the base formed. Just have to weld on the hold down details as soon as I have a man free up. The cost will be same as the Tacoma one @ $125.00

WOW! Looks GREAT! How can others get one? Please take install pics if you can. I would love to see what goes into this mod.
I could see a Group 31 main battery tray mod with this cage in my near future. :thumb3:
The manufacturer is switching to a larger location, so they are keeping their production schedule limited until that move has completed, this first unit is likely it for right this moment, but I'll keep the group posted.
So here is the teaser for what I'm working on at the moment. Hopefully should be arriving at my door in the next two weeks so I can get it installed before I head out to the Overland Expo West. I got special dispensation from the Mrs because it's a safety feature

Looks like a new breed of Transformers...
I saw this a few months ago but was disappointed in the thin gauge of steel he uses. Maybe he's stepped it up.
I haven't measured it, but it certainly seems sufficient for the job. If you torque down to hard on the j-hooks, it will bend out the side a bit, but that's a pretty good indication that you are overdoing it in my mind.
With the OEM battery tie-down I was able to twist the battery by hand.... with this cage I can sway the truck, but the battery stays put. As mentioned; I'm pleased so far with the product. I'll provide an after action report when back from my western trek.
Anyone wanted to call a spot for a possible group buy yet? The normal MSRP is $125, so it should come in under that.

Full Disclosure: I have nothing to gain from assisting Pelfreybilt with this group buy, aside from a t-shirt they are sending me as a thank you. This is one of the first 5th gen 4Runner products, so I just wanted to help them out as a new possible vendor and get the 5th gen group here another product to choose from.
