Would you say the Goodyear SA's sidewall is equal in strength to the BFGs? I'm interested that you say the GY's are great off-road because they certainly don't get the hype that the bfgs/nittos do.

Not sure. The Goodyear SA has 2-ply sidewall. However, the compound of the sidewall (DuraWall) is supposedly stronger than your average compound. DuraWall is used on the MT/R (along with 3-ply sidewall), which is famous for its sidewall strength. I think that the Goodyear SA is a milder off-road tire than the BFG due to its conservative tread design. However, Goodyear advertises this tire as a true all-terrain and is designed to be aired down if needed. The same cannot be said about other pseudo AT tires out there.

These guys got their tires back in January and they were available on a limited basis in Colorado back then.

RonM, i apologize for coming across like that. However, what you do and what you say often conflict with each other. Lies or exaggerations, i don't know...only you know the truth of the matter. I am just pointing out inconsistencies in what you type.

Not sure how Blair did that...but just imagine IF he had Nittos on instead of BFG MT!! The bottom line is that you equip your truck to the terrain, not to what looks cool or bling.

I still have my Nitto's and I was on the trip where it happened. I was leading and he was just a little ways behind me. Both were running at 25 PSI since we were doing some faster trails. So the side walls weren't even exposed much.

Just saying that the scenario you joked about (if he were running Nitto's) is the very scenario that I was running... Same speed, same trail and at the same PSI. Was it just bad luck? Perhaps.

RonMAIDEN, got some possible snow tonight in the Evergreen/Conifer area. Could see up to 6" tonight through tomorrow morning. If that pans out, come on up and test out those tires and let me know how they do
I'm saving up for a set!

The Duratracs did great in last week's snowstorm and very happy with them so far and just got the truck cleaned up.
Tomorrow I need to detail my flares,installing Nokya fogs and finish painting my centercaps and a few other little things.
