ya know i get asked that a lot, I'll post it again when i find it again. Sorry i'm not 100% i just know i went with the biggest one i could find that matched the stock inlet/outlet i thought it was the sprotsman 3000 but i could be wrong. I'll post the model number when i get a chance to crawl under there

TRD - awesome build thread, i keep trying to figure out where you in all the photos. A couple look like up on squaw peak and rock canyon, but they could be in the foot hills by cedar hills.

I will keep my eyes out for your rig around town.

thanks man! Some of the first ones are in Daper, then i did some on the other side of Utah Lake, by the shooting range. I think there are some from Battle Creek in there and then yeah, I went up in Cedar Hills right behind us and snapped some of the recent pics. I gotta get the tires dirty sometimes haha. I don't get out weelin as much as i'd like to, but there are some spots i still need to check out.

I'll keep my eye open too, my truck has become one giant salt lick from diving home for christmas. I gotta wash it but it's freaking cold!

SWEET dude! I really like how that sub just drops right in there. I have a small Polk sub sitting in my garage, I think I may copy you one day and modify my platform to accept the sub. I'm lacking some bass!

Happy New Year man.

thank's Rick, I really appreciate it. I got to test it out during my tip with having a bunch of stuff set on top. it worked out great! I hear ya on the bass too, i went a couple weeks without a sub and it was awful! Anyway, Happy New Year to you too man.

You guys are lucky that you have smaller subs, mine is a huge round one... would never fit with my sleeping platform lol.

and I always miss mine when it's not in the rig! I love turning that up!

haha that must be one massive sub? how big is it? but yeah i agree love cranking it up too!

I was reading your your thread you posted a couple days ago where you explained how you can interpret music. I think it's awesome you can still get and feel the joys and thrills of music. Music is a huge part of my life and i don't know for me, it's just inspiring to read how you make it all work.

It is, it came with the truck... Picture from the listing:

(picture quality is bad - screenshot from saved PDF of the listing)...

I forget the brand of it. The ironic thing is, since I'm deaf, I wouldn't bother with a subwoofer/fancier aftermarket setup since music is not a big priority for me... I might have gone and gotten an aftermarket radio just so I could have an Aux input (since I never listen to the radio - I need to kill the antenna switch) - but that would be about it... I can't tell the difference between bad and good music (like when someone sings horribly haha). But I really like my setup! :D

And thanks for the kind words, I'm amazed how interested people are in my deafness and how I make things work... It's awesome to be here and that people accept that! :)

wow that thing is huge! it looks like the bazooka tube maybe?

But yeah before you mentioned how deaf people liked bass, i came across this video from the guy who runs SMD. He has like a 30,000 watt set up, and a deaf guy came by wanting to hear it. When that bass hit he the biggest grin on his face it was pretty cool to watch.

anyway i hope I don't offend, I just truly find it fascinating reading about your world and how you deal with things like this.

Another Dead Speedometer 2001 4 Runner!

Not the fuses or the lines but down to "sensors" either ABS Sensor or Vehicle speed Sensor. Been looking at salvage yards but they have to know. Am I on the right track?:lookout:

^^ random???

So guys i posted something on the 3rd gen facebook thing begging for some opinions, I'm trying to find things to spend my Christmas money on. It's only $100 so i can't get anything too cool as of yet.

I wanted to upgrade my fog light bulbs and holy crap i cant decide what i want. FYI My projector retrofit pretty much over powers any use of my fog lights, I would love to put a 3000k H3C kit in there, but i don't want to spend the $150

here are my choices

Nokya hyper yellows

Nokya magnum cosmic white, which supposedly has a 5000 Kelvin rating

or good ol LED's

they are all about the same price, (under $20) so i cant really go wrong. anyway I'd love to hear some opinions

I recently installed the Nokya hyper yellows. They aren't very bright, and not very yellow (Well, not as yellow as I was hoping at least.) Also, after only a couple weeks, one side started becoming less yellow. lol I don't have any pics, but I'll try to snap some tonight for you.

thanks for telling me that. I was thinking they couldn't be that great for the price.
Pics would help for sure, but you don't have to make it a priority.

good to know, I will scratch those for sure. I found some H3C HID's from VVME for $40 so yeah... we'll see where this goes lol thanks for the input guys

yeah my only problem is i only have $100 well now $60 to work with. No sense in doing the micro de's when i already have the OEM fogs that look almost exactly the same lol. that route would be pretty cool though
