My original plans were to only use Toyota/TRD parts and upgrades, but when i found out how hard it was to get some of these parts i gave up and went a different route.

A black 4runner has always been a dream car for me. I've always loved cars and trucks. and fixing them up. Its one of my passions. If i had the money my garage would probably be bigger than my house haha so lets get started...

When i first got the runner had to take it wheelin!

First Mod Thule Ski racks of course

i put the volant intake in there. I have also put the Powercore filter in there it made a pretty big difference in the sound and performance.

then came the Lamen-X (Gun Smoke Shade) on the corner lights and the blinkers

I re-did the lighting in the interior and exterior

haha i think i already showed my plates lol so never mind the scribble but these are the VLEDs 194 bulbs that have something like 8 LED's or something but it is the natural white 5000K compared to the stock bulb

These are the fronts that have something like 16 LED's??

and the DDM HID's 4500K hi/lo kit

haha Seems to be a reoccurring question around here... LED light conversions= most confusing, yet simple mod on here.

thanks guys, yeah the interior lighting mod is one of my least favorite mods to do but thats only because i messed a bunch of stuff of by doing it wrong.
I could probably do it blindfolded now with all the times ive had to take things apart lol!

There are a bunch of threads here. One seems to come up every week but all in all it can turn out awesome! It's not really that expensive either. i think i spent $25-$30 for a complete swap

So different years require a different bulb What you want to do is find the bulbs you need from a thread here. for an 01-02 there are 3 #24 bulbs for the gauges, 2 Neo Wedge in the ECT, back window, and rear defrost buttons, and then 3 Neo Wedge in the HVAC controls. Also you'll want to change the keyring and shifter which for me are #74's

You can buy these bulbs at SuperbrightLED's.com or VLEDS.com Superbright probably has a better selection of colors but VLEDS has the quality

yeah i love the black on black look, I got my idea from this kid who had a black civic Si. He swapped the DOHC sticker with a black one and i've loved it ever since! There's another member who did this but with a silver outline. it looked great!
But yeah i think almost anything would go with black, ive alwaysed wondered what a black with a tan would look, maybe a little red? they may look pretty sick on your truck?

changed the clock from the ugly green to a decent warm white... im still gonna play around with it, and see if i can get more of a pure white

except i didn't like that anymore so i did this

i think pretty much all my interior lights are now LED here are my domes and map lights. the pictures show them brighter than they actually are, they are way better than stock but still kinda wish the domes were brighter.

I got these 3175's for the dome lights

and these Ba9's for the map lights (my favorite) these babies light up real nice

and the results, lol its not always this cluttered!!

thanks guys, yeah although it doesn't stay clean that long its totally worth cleaning all over ahain haha I love it!

cant wait to to my retrofit, and get some smoked LED tails to make it even more black! !

im not sure how legal it is :/ but i did get followed by a hi-po charger today and didnt get pulled over, 5 blocks later pulled a uie and tagged someone so i think mine are ok

thats good to know, he was probably just making sure enough light was coming out of your rear lights... i always get kinda nervous when a cop is around cause my blinkers are blacked out, all these lame rules! geeez
