yeah man they haven't done the 50% off in a while i think they are still working on restocking the shelves. The LED reverse lights are awesome i freaking love them, These blinkers have some pretty good reviews. i think even the $20 ones do too. I would wait for the coupon codes though they have them coming every week or so.

last code i know of was 20% off $100 the promo code was "20OFF100"

but yeah i want to switch all my blinkers and from my knowledge you just need to buy that $14 flasher unit and your good. I kinda need the extra money so i may wait.

This broken light is killin me though! i gotta wrap it in some ghetto light tape for a while... owell those LED tails will be sweeet and im siked i got them for free!

Wait... you got them for free?? How did you manage that? Thats freaking awesome! Im really jealous. I will prolly order mine within the next week after this next paycheck comes in... Then ill order LED tails in the summer after i go on vacation.

Which ones did you get btw? The smoked or the oem looking?
Ive been stuck picking between the two. I really like the look of the smoked on some of the guys rigs, but idk if its me id rather the oem looking. Normally i dont really like when people black out their taillights its kinda stupid but on the other hand on some black vehicles it does look pretty good like on yours it would look very good. haha i guess i should rephrase the "freeness" a little, the lady that hit me just wrote me a check and it was enough to cover the cost on some LED's and some extra $$ to play with.

but yeah man i really wanted these for a long time however my money just couldn't quite get there. So i think i got really lucky getting hit where i did and there not being more damage.

i hear ya on the decisions man, it was a long debate for me and some photoshop hours. I figured the smoked ones would look a little too chrome on my black 4runner, i wanted to continue my slightly murdered out look, so i ended up with these black ones.

Ive been looking into some different methods of getting a light tint on them to where they still look good. I want to keep a glossy look, and not have it too dark

Lamin-X is what i did for the front but i dont enough money or time really to tackle that again

Nightshade, when its done right, it can look pretty good

and then there is the black shadow chrome paint that dupicolor makes that im considering. my only fear is that it may come out a little blue like it has been on some of the chrome that i have seen

Dowh *Facepalm* i guess that one was a gimme... the check would cover the tails that she damaged. Those will definitely look good! Not sure if you were planning this but i would tape off the reverse light so it stays fairly clear and you can still get output out of those LEDs. Just an idea do what you wanna do ha. I cant wait to get rid of these so called "frosted" tails...

Oh take a pic of them the way they are out of the box before you tint them more so i can get a good idea of how they look on yours. i know mine is different color and ill prolly go oem looking but id still like a good reference from where you start off from. Thanks!

i got the lights today, but in an attack return i got a CEL so i had no modivation to get these done today haha! but anyway here are some pics of what the black LED tails look like.

I bought some smoke paint so im most likely going to tone down that chrome a little. i think its a little too ricey i dunno i cant really decide if i like them un smoked or not what do you think?

Lights look good so far. It almost looks good as is, but...

Smoke 'em! Once you get yours done, it might motivate me to finish the clear coat on mine. ha

haha yeah man i kind of like it but i want to stay away from making it look too blingy
but yeah when you buff the night shade after the clear it makes a world of difference. Im tryin out this black shadow paint to see what it can do. it says it paints a tint so i dunno i always gotta be different

THanks for the update man! I was thinking of buying those exact lights for a while, but decided to go with OEM 2001-2002 lights instead. I'm not to crazy about painting brand new tail lights, just not that confident in my skills! HA HA! Palmetto and I are working out a deal on his stock set, just waiting for him to let me know what the shipping will be from his place to mine!

That being said, good luck on yours man! Can't wait to see how they turn out!

thanks man, i know what your saying though, its killing me that i gotta try and paint these. i wish they had the smoke lens with the black housing with these. it would have solved all the headaches haha I was gonna go the lamin-x route but i got impatient and wanted it done, plus im not sure i could make it look right due to the shape.
i think those OEM's will look killer on your rig though man nice and clean. I know you've been kicking this around for while too. So are are the ones your getting the LED version?

I don't think so....I'm an old fashion kinda guy, like the idea of 1 bulb. They are much less expensive should they have to be replaced......However, the LED's look KILLER! :artist2:

What are you going to do with your old 01-02 OEM tails? They are a hot item. I got 80 shipped for old ones. The only reason I bring it up is that I could have easily gotten like 100 shipped or maybe more.

thanks guys, thought i'd tease you a little more, im pretty happy with the outcome so far
I've got the clear coats on now all i got to do is let it set, so i can buff it out later and get a nice shine

fightman its killing me man i cant wait to see what they look like plugged in and everything lol. mmmmm LED tails you know you want them haha!

Ripcord i think im gonna hold on to them in case i need an extra set to pass inspection or something lame. plus with that one being broken and all i dont think ill be able get much.
