In the photo you posted last the stock wheel center caps have been painted black. remove yours scuff, with a scotchbrite pad rattlecan with black paint. let dry, put back on

Those weren't painted center caps. I'd like to do what OP wants as well, but I don't think they will fit on the rear. I think I'm going to just paint the exposed rear hub after brushing that rust off.

My bad i should have stated in the photo that shows the complete 4runner the factory center caps have been painted black

If he has a 2014 or later (like mine), the centercaps are obnoxiously obtrusive and stick way out. . . painting them really isn't an option. . would probably make them look even worse.
I just roll without them. The pic that OP posted is what the fronts look like without a centercap. . .the rears, however, are a rough, unpainted metal . . . it would be nice if there was similar cover on the back as there is on the front. . . but i think we're just stuck painting the exposed hub.
If anyone has seen any flush or super-low profile center caps that would fit into a 2014 TEP wheel, let me know!!!!
