I’ve been putting a lot of work into the old girl since she was neglected for so long. Today while switching my lug nuts for black ones I noticed this while I had the rear jacked up. Seems the sleeve has slipped down. Can I just reattach it somehow or should I just replace them? They’ve got about 5 years and 40k on them. Also when I got my lift from toytec they were way back ordered on 5100 and sent me 5160’s I believe. Will probably upgrade to icons if I can keep these for a bit while I save. Thanks in advance!

I agree with above. You can push the rubber all the way down to make sure everything is intact, but looks most likely cosmetic.

Bilstein's should have a lifetime warranty too - so if there ever was an issue you can likely just get it replaced

The other option is to remove the boots completely, they've been known to have their drains get clogged and cause damage to the shock shaft if driven in lots of muck and not cleaned regularly.

Yep, I just cut mine off. Shaft was absolutely caked in mud, I have no idea how long that must have been there.
