Green Machine 2.0

Still chasing gremlins, trying to keep myself busy so I made a highlift mount for the back of my roof rack. I've been in a little f150 and it's horrible and boring and no one checks out my ride and it's horrible. Did I mention it's horrible?

I'm driving an F150 too while the Bastard is down, I have to say it's growing on me. It's nice to pack the whole family for a weekend of camping and not play jigsaw puzzle games trying to make all the gear fit.

I could use some better mileage for sure though. :(

Hey Rob, I was looking at your sas checklist and noticed that you noted $150 for your axle. I'm assuming that's for a standard '79-'85 housing since you also have diff armor for that same housing listed along with wheel spacers. But then you have an axle truss for a rock assault axle also listed. Was that a mistake or are you up to something?:biggrin1:

Yeah that was just a mistake, all of that got put on hold however because the engine went for a swim. Give it a month or two

I'm in an 01 2wd ext cab. I like having the bed but I think all the ford has done is convince me to get a tacoma lol

She's put back together, had to replace bearings, seals, dump (literally dump) water out of the headlights, put in replacement carpet, track down an electrical drain (ended up being the alarm) and got my arb awning on. I'm going to play with the awning tomorrow and take sone pictures

What happened to the 3.4?

The shop we took it to had a motor but when they started tearing it down to put in they saw that the rings were bad and a 3.4 swap + a 3.4 rebuild wasn't in the budget.

Do I wish I had a 3.4 under the hood right now? Yes.

Am I glad to be driving the old shitbox again? Hell yes.

First wax of the year (sadly) you guys, it is HOT down here in texas

Pretty cool idea I had to cover up the crack in my dash, who doesn't love patches?

I'm getting a ticking noise coming from the engine bay (just had valves done so highly unlikely it's them) as well as a bad gasoline smell coming from the ac, thoughts anyone?
