Greenlane off-road aluminum sliders

Anyone make contact with the sliders off road or in parking lot? Did they bend or dent?

When shopping for sliders I spoke with someone who had them on his truck which we wheels very hard. He said while it’s not “recommended” he regularly used a hi-lift and they have bent or lost shape. His main con was that just like skids, aluminum gouges and sticks to rocks more so than steel, but that’s a trade off I’m ok with for all of the weight savings.

I’ve found as much under my size 12 shoes getting in as the plastic OEMs had, plus the coating is anti slip. More at rear of course. Maybe don’t look at the angled option then I suppose if they are flat out there’s a tad more for surface area? Email them I’m sure you’ll get the specifics [emoji1360]

Do you have kdss? Have you had any issues with the sliders in relation to kdss? Any worry with the sliders pulling on the lines if they get hit?

Yes the vehicle has KDSS. When you order them you specify that so these are custom for specifics related to same. Likely the lines and actuator location or whatever it’s called on the drivers side. We had no issues mounting everything lined up as it should perfectly. No bending / relocation of anything was required.

As I mentioned before these were bought to replace the OEM plastic flexible steps. I chose the 12 deg angled ones because I like the side profile look. I don’t miss the slippery old steps the powder coating on these have an anti slip aspect to them. The side tubing is quite wide, does the job for me. Aluminum spec on these are quite strong but this vehicle only drives over potholes and curbs.

And I need aluminum up here in Toronto. Salting on our roads through winter is intense.
