Mine came after I left for work yesterday. These things are beefy can't wait to get them on. Only problem is one of mine has a scratch on it and the powered coating is coming off. Not sure if I want to send it back or just install them. I'm going to call the truck shop and see what we can work out.
Mine came pretty beat up. With paint scratched to bare metal. I sent it back and waiting on new set. One thing I'm not happy is I had to pay for shipping yo sent back. Its not my fault or problem.that it came beat up. Should have added extra protection. But its whatever. So I'm still waiting for new set.

I'm trying to reserve judgement about this decision.. but I admit it's hard becauase I haven't see anyone from the group buy yet say they recieved a product that was 100% good to go.
While the issues to date have been mostly fit and finish issues (paint or powdercoat, some zerk fitting filings) one guy says he couldn't get the spacers to fit....
At what point do these Built Right UCA's turn into Built Wrong UCA's?
I mean, $470 is still $470, where the freak is the QA with this product?
It'd be nice not to have to POR-15 a set of $470 UCA's before install so they don't rust in the Northeastern winter salt environement.... and no, I don't think this is asking too much.

Sorry to hear that so many are receiving their sets with paint defects. I feel somewhat guilty for throwing together this group buy. I received mine with no powder coating defects, just the logo stickers were peeling off.

So I got mine today and while I don't feel they're that bad I wanted to get everyones ideas first. I've attached pictures. They were wrapped in bubble wrap. but only like one time around. I usually wrap things of this natrure at least 2-3 times, but I also tend to overdo things sometimes. My stickers are wrinkled and coming off and theres a few powder coat dings in mine. Now the question is, am I being unreasonable. I feel like my first trip down a gravel road is just gonna mess up the powder coat anyways because my tires are going to throw rocks all over it. I was kind of expecting this in all honesty because I read that entire post on tacoma world and quite a few people were also receiving them like this. I don't really want to be a pain in the ass, whats everyone else doing with theirs?

I just received the new set today. Its at my girls house. Either tomorrow or this weekend I'll go and check it out. I hope they are not scratched up!! Will let you know.

Alright I want to chime in since I got mine and did the install. So I had trouble getting the lower spacer in but once I gave it a few wacks with a rubber mallet it slid right in. I say this because I tried forever with a metal hammer and for some reason the rubber mallet did it.
My UCA's came absolutely perfect. Without a single imperfection. Install went really well and I am very happy with them. Stickers are peeling but I was going to remove them anyway.
Install took me about 2.5 hours for the first side and a little less than an hour for the second. I had trouble with the upper ball joint separating from the spindle. Tip: use a pry bar and put pressure on the upper control arm and spindle while you hit the flat side with a hammer. It'll pop right out.
Haven't gotten an alignment yet but they have clearance of the shock at full drop. Yay.
I am impressed with these. Here are some pictures. If you have install questions let me know.
Use a zip tie from the spindle to the shock so you don't stretch the ABS wire.
Here is what I'm using to lube the ball joint. I read up to get dry lube and spray them down every week or so.

I personally had no issues with my UCA's other than the shitty stickers they put on which I quickly took off. The powder coat seemed fine other that one tiny spot that bubbled. The install was a breeze surprisingly (never changed UCA's before) took about 1.5 hrs. I feel that they did package the product poorly. I feel that the truck shop received them packaged from Built Right and then just forward the product to the customer. For those that are receiving f'ed up UCA's please call the truck shop and reason with them. Again I feel like an ass for setting up this group buy only to find that a handful of you so far are unhappy in some way with the product. My apologies.

They were able to align it into factory?
Is this grease ok for the zerks and the sleeves. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...=synthetic+grease&zoneAssigned=1&prefZC=68046 I know the spray stuff for the uniball. The TC video they use superlube but no one here in my area carries it.
