Anyone able to get in contact with Gobi yet? This better be the week my rack shows up and I'm trying to get the shipping companies info.

They said it was being packed for shipment last Monday.

ALSO if I get them on the phone I'll ask about our ladders.

Jangoforhire- Your rack has left the building and is in route.

Everyone with backordered ladders should be receiving their ladder sometime mid next week. Ladders will be back from powdercoat this Thursday and will ship out by Friday.

i really do hope that the ladders are shipped out on friday as this has been constantly pushed back.


so far its been 93 days now since i ordered. thats over 3 months to get the ladder from the original day of 4 weeks for ladder + rack.




almost seems like summer will be gone and over before i get my ladder.

I went with the Stealth/Rigid setup after having had good feedback from forum members here on the noise level. I am heading west tomorrow up to the Aspen/Marble area for some highway and off-road "testing". I will keep you posted on what I hear from the rack/lights.

Patience is important, after placing my order in April everything was finally ready last week. Rigid was back ordered, and of course keeping up with the demand for the awesome Gobi products is a difficult task.

Dropping my rig of last night at Gobi for the install I got to meet Sandra and John. These are GREAT hard working folks that put in 12 hour days to keep things moving out the door!

In the shop there at Gobi there were numerous racks waiting to ship out. AND, they have a whole truckload coming back in later today 07/18 from powder coating! Our patience will pay off!

Back from my trip with the new Stealth rack and Rigid SR's... here is the update on the wind noise.

John at Gobi must be a magician as this setup is quieter than my stock rack I had with Yakima bars and two fork mount bike carriers. The only time it seemed noisier than my prior setup was with strong head/crosswinds.

Seriously, even at highway speeds (I normally drive 80mph on the Interstate) the rack and light setup is pretty dang quiet. I like to drive with my sunroof sunshade back much of the time and only when I had windy conditions did I feel the need to close the shade for sound insulation.

Like I said, I ordered in April. Heck yes it was hard to wait. But I am FULLY stoked on the setup and this rack will last the lifetime of the vehicle. The Stealth is a thing of beauty.

Why is the vendor not expediting these orders and getting shipping info etc for his customers??
