Group Buy - Grillcraft Grill ENDED 2/14/11

Why not use the same screen name matrix that was used when order and add shipped to the screen name as you received them from Grillcraft and send to the buyer.

Probably because that's not the order which they were purchased. I originated this Group Buy through Truck Alterations and was the first to order since I posted the "purchase link". It's unlikely that everyone who added their name to the thread saying "order placed" was in the right order to begin with.....I mean I was #3 I think but was the first to order. Either way, Luke said the remaining grills will ship either today or tomorrow so everyone should be receiving notifications via UPS by the end of the week.

All I'm asking is if anyone other than TOYSTRY got a notification of shipment. While I understand that they were not on the shelf waiting for us it will be nice to know that more than one set has been shipped. OK... I will try to explain. First, I can use a screen name matrix because I have no idea which SN belongs to whom. Therefore I couldn't accurately add shipped to anything.

Next, there were orders from people not on the original list and not all on the list ordered.

Then, as stated before the list was far from accurate on the orders that payment was made which is the order I am shipping by.

Lastly, it kind of is personal when you say on an open forum that I and/or my company has a lack of follow up, when in fact we have done exactly what we said we would do from the beginning. If you are curious as to your order status or have some comments, e-mail or private message work well.

Nothing personal, just defending my good name.

I will add my personal experience, I couldn't be happier with the information I have received from Truck Alterations. I called Luke, received my estimated ship date and I am sure I will receive mine exactly when Luke told me I will receive them.

I got mine today. Will have to wait for the weekend to install. Instructions tht came with the kit are clear but the pictures could be a little bigger for us that don't actually like to read the instructions hahahahaha

Why can't I get my grill off? It seems like I am hanging up on the sides behind the painted frame. I can see there are some type of clip thats holding it on but it just isn't budging. HELP

Mike it's a pain. You just have to release the grill shell from where it's connected to the bumper cover by the headlights. Just look at the clips and work them until it releases. I know it feels like it's gonna break, but just keep trying and once one side releases you're good to go

Yeah I got it, boy it is a pain. The bottom three screws with those clips is almost impossible.

I debadged it too. Should I get the FJ "TOYOTA" emblem?

Wife had the 4Runner all day today so I couldn't install mine, and tomorrow is a 90% chance of rain. Any pointers you can offer on the clips would be greatly appreciated.

Be sure to have a magnetized screw driver so you can retrieve the clip when the screw doesn't engage. Otherwise just don't get frustrated.

Oh and I'll get better pictures when the sun comes back around.
