You know this is exactly why I don't take much of Automobile magazines SUV and Truck ratings to heart. They seem to know little about what makes us SUV/Truck owners buy the vehicles we buy. I will, sometimes, favor the opinion of Petersen's 4 wheel and off road or 4 wheeler just because they seem to know what to expect from a SUV or truck and also what we are looking for in that specific vehicle.
And as for the comment about the GM 6.0, I will agree that the MPG is abisimal (I have a 2500HD and get 10 to 12 around town), but it is not published most times, in trucks at least, because based on the GVW the government is not required to test and publish the MPG for the bigger trucks, 2500HD and 3500.
The Tahoes and Yukons come with the 5.3 so that is what you would need to compare. The Escalades and H2s are special and have the 6.0 as an option, those should be published based on the GVW of the vehicle...:biggrin2:
