I bought them off ebay. Denso ballast/phillips bulbs.... from Japan.

headlights = HERE
the surrounding piece that needs to be painted comes away from the reflector. DO NOT PAINT THE PIECE WHILE ITS STILL ON THE REFLECTOR. You don't want to screw up your headlights now.... do we? :p

Oh... I didn't know that reflectors are attached to surrounding piece. I thought it's one piece. So it's just taken apart and painted all surrounding.
Did you buy your ballast and bulbs separately? How did you connect them together and your OEM wiring? Do they have necessary connectors?

As for the 2006 4runner projectors, they're made for halogen bulbs. Some halogen projectors will work pretty well with HIDs (the only one I know of are the acura mdx halogen projectors), others will not.
...

Let me get the point. You're saying that '06 projectors (looks like H11) might be worth for HID then '05 reflectors (9006)? Or any projectors, even if they made for halogen will be better to put HIDs in then reflectors.
I've read a lot about HID and I found that many people saying that 9006 is the best choice from reflectors for HID and usually perform very well depending on HID bulb (Philips or other big brands should work fine).
What I've seen in this forum that some guys purchased HIDs (do not know the brand if HID) and put them into reflectors. After modification it has two big ovals of light pattern on the white wall instead of nice cut-offs from regular 9006.
One of the best HID conversions in reflector lens I've seen is done by iFORCE. I like yours one, but you've modified them to projectors. It will be interesting to see what light pattern iFORCEs' HID gives in white wall...
