Haddix's build thread

I just think the Bent up is a cleaner looking bumper, more natural for the runner. But whatever you get I'm sure it's gonna look nasty!

Well got a nice call today. Its going to go in the shop earlier than expected! Going to drop it off Thursday morning! Looks like the decision will be made by tomorrow.

congrats on the good news and wat i mean by a tube bumper is like the armorology and the taco u just posted. I like the look of the fully enclosed sheet metal bumpers like ARB, TJM, bentup and etc.

Front is basically done. They will be finished tomorrow..:hungry:

CANT WAIT! It's turning out better than expected. I was over there all day. Heading back over there tomorrow bright and early!

so did u ever figure out wat ur gonna end up doing with that ARB? if no one has claimed it yet then im still interested...

One of my buddies is buying the ARB and my old coilovers..

EDIT:Should I add some pics of the front now or wait till front and rear are done?

My goal was as high clearance as possible but still be stout. I think I achieved that. The sides are so much higher than the old ARB. The turn signals will be mounted tomorrow and where the winch fairlead goes will be cut out tomorrow as well. I absolutely loved the way it came out. These guys do awesome work, top notch. Im very impressed so far and cant wait to get the rear done tomorrow!

that thing looks suhweettt!!....how much would a bumper like this run? I would like something like this if it's cheaper then an ARB

Thanks man. It's all custom and hand built so you may just want to contact them. Im sure they would work with you there real cool guys. ARB is probably going to be your cheapest route though for bumpers because there not hand made ya know but like I said give em a shout and see what they say! Top notch guys. Im at the shop right now and there starting on the rear as we speak!

Awesome! I love the front with just the hoop...that has always been my favorite design. Are you going to go back to black, or will you color match? Just curious....

front is looking good dude!

Cant wait to see the rear!
Thanks man. Wait no longer..Here is a pic tacked together!!!!

Yeah I didnt want to go to much like the old arb and I like the simplicity and the high clearance of these bumpers. Yeah im going to go black. If I went silver I would want it to match perfect and I think it would be to hard to match it and touch it up.

Without further ado here is the rear bumper. Only tacked together but here she is!!!!!!

They both look rad Haddix. Are you gonna do a swing away?

Thanks. It had crossed my mind but for now no. I may later on but probably not. Id rather throw the spare in the cargo area in between the roll bar. I dont haul anything in the back so it doesnt bother me to put it back there. I am adding rear 1/4 panel protection though. Should be able to get pics of that tomorrow.

Thanks. Yeah I have to have hitch. Never know when ya need it. It would have been stupid not to add one because It's not like it is going to take away from the clearance of it like the stock one. I'll have more pics tonight. Going there after work Today.

The only critique I have is the rear bumper is awfully close to the 1/4 panels. If it's not too late, you may want to adjust the bumper down .5" or so to allow a little room for flex if you bottom out when going up/down really steep stuff. I could see that heavy steel bumper possibly kissing the body if the weight of the truck is resting on it. You may have enough clearance/departure angle now that it won't matter though. Either way, they're both great looking bumpers! If I was closer, I'd probably have those guys make me some too, but CBI is already making mine and they look sweet too!
