Halo headlights for 5th gens

you'll need to do a complete retrofit to get a good quality HID. I bought my FXR projectors, Morimoto H1 HID, and Halo rings from the retrofit source. if you have a little bit of time it usually takes about 6-8 hours since you'll need to bake the lights. if not you will be looking to spend over $1000 to have the retrofit source do it for you.

As to what you do with your headlights, that's up to you. As to how you do it, TRS is your best choice for componentry, but not for retrofitting. Go on HidP.com and look for retrofitters. Lightwerkz is highly recommended, but yes, $$$.

Halos cannot be installed without baking open the headlight assembly. If one were to go this far, it seems silly to me to not do some manner of headlight upgrade. This could range from simple lens replacement/tuning on the halogens, to HID projectors as did [MENTION=93405]Snow-Jet-MK5[/MENTION]

Thanks for the thread, looks like it would be a good turn out, is there something to do to the driving lights also to match? Sorry if it says in the article, just did a quick glance through it. And don't worry, plenty has been done since my original picture, just keep moving on to little thing I see

Thanks, going to look into your recommendations.. Probably won't do halos if baking is part of it. I know the lights will end up getting moisture in there at some point.
 
Agree with all of the above. Cesar at lightwerks is pricey but he does some amazing work.

I picked up the set he had for sale in the following thread and am very impressed. I need to update the thread with a review. The work is top notch. He is very professional to work with and warranties his work. He removed all the chrome in the housing prior to spraying. The cutoff is aligned and sharp. I will post a review, some pics and a vid soon.

I will also have my stock 2014 headlights up for sale soon. Send me a PM if you're interested. That way you can keep your stock headlights on the car while this set gets worked on.

Not so. Caesar [MENTION=81410]LightWerkz[/MENTION] has done 3 retrofits for me since 2010 (1-wife's, 2-me). Perfect craftsmanship, perfect alignment, never any moisture. Good craftsmanship for anything isn't cheap.

You don't need to retrofit to install halo "CFFL" style lights. You can actually install the newer more reliable LED halos with a kill switch or wire it directly on the stick when you turn on the lights.

The older ones were unreliable and they brake/wear out easily.
 
I just ordered some oracle ones and ended up doing it myself. I also control the halos through my phone via bluetooh and can change to any color I prefer.
