Ham radio bumper antenna mount

I've got a 2015 Toyota 4 Runner and I'm looking for a bumper mount for it. I know there are some Diamond trunk lip mounts but I think a bumper mount might be more secure and would allow me to mount the antenna a little lower to clear my garage ceiling. Would mounting the antenna on the bumper drastically reduce antenna efficiency? Also what is the go to bumper mount that would work for my vehicle?

I've never really had any issues with my old bumper mount, worked very well for hf, so long as I used a decent antenna with the mast above the roof.

There's a flat plate bumper mount from HRO that you install under your trailer ball, and as long as you make sure to run a good ground strap from the mount to the frame, it works very well with hamstiks.

If you're just running VHF/UHF, then get a roof mount, either magnetic base, or one of the hatchback edge mounts from Diamond if you prefer a more permanent install.
