another cool idea http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f31/barlowrs/Truck Build/IMG_1960.jpg
sounds like you need to move lolI'm thinking about putting an external speaker there.
I put an extra CB speaker under the headrest, works great.
Not a fan. Plus I have a sunroof.
One thing for me is that mine needs to be hidden when I stash the remote face. Too many tweakers that would break into a vehicle around here and steal a radio if they see it. By putting the transceiver in the center console or under a seat, as soon as I pull the headunit and tuck the mic away, it's invisible.
Under the headrest?sounds like you need to move lol
:lookout:
Under the headrest?
I was going for an OEM look and mounted the head unit right above the radio. To mount it I used an L-bracket from Home depot and a 3D printed mount (Kenwood TM-D710 faceplate flat mount by grogers_ftn - Thingiverse). The L-bracket is just stuck between the dash and the center console but it's very solid. I ran a flat Cat5 Ethernet cable up on the driver side of the center console. The flat cable was very easy to tuck away without removing the center console.
Installed an Icom IC-2730A in place of the Taco holder.

Hey quick question, what type of mount did you use to secure your head unit into the taco holder? I want to do the same thing as you but I am not sure hot to mount.
