Handgun mounting solution without drilling into center console

hopefully you never have a round cook off and pierce your tranny lol

I ALWAYS carry at 4oclock and condition 1. If you get ripped from your vehicle, that console mount isn't gonna do you any good.
 
well you should try to relax a bit, your kids are safer than they have been in decades. since the early 90's violent crime is down almost by half, homicide victimization rates for children, child mortality, missing children rates, etc... are all down.

basically, assuming you grew up in the 80's or 90's your kids are like twice as safe as you were

For the record I'm plenty to relaxed, realistic and cautious. And take responsibility for the safety of myself and my family.

Is what your quoting the national avaerage as reported by the media? Please state your source or PM me.

Cause basically what your saying is the same mall shootings, school shootings, club shootings, active shooter sinearo's where happening when I was in school "90's" but the media didn't report on it?

Not sure your background but I've worked missing kid cases, and very closely with LEO in various branches and I have a real world opinion that doesn't match your statistic.

Besides that how a county "records crime"... well that's a whole different topic, cause no one wants to live in "violent crime town". That's just bad for business.

Make sure you print those statistics out and have them rolled up nice and tight so you can use them to beat the bad people about the head in the unlikely event you are targeted.
 
i mean, my wife and i both know how to use a firearm and i carry sometimes

i just also know that i grew up during peak crime rates and pretty much all crime, including the crime i mentioned above, is down despite what it may seem like from 24-hour news that has to go from one sensational story to the next to make money. the largest threat to children is still family and friends by a large margin, stranger-danger was a misguided campaign.

There are a few good holsters that mount like that, but it doesn't work for us because we have an airbag right there
 
I just tuck my gun desantis holster and all between the front of the seat and the plastic trim. It pull cleanly out and the holster stays put.(sorry for the cameltoe pic. weird angle lol)

If that is your primary weapon... It should be mounted where it belongs. ON YOU AT ALL TIMES!

Now, if that is a secondary(back-up), which is good for rapid deployment within your vehicle, I have found that between the seat and the console.. infront of the seatbelt latch works best for me. It is tucked away nicely.. and when deployed it isnt an overt movement that a thug would expecting. This is of course if your SA is shit and you were day dreaming at a light and bad guy comes up to your door. It would appear you are taking off your seatbelt.. which you can draw and remove seatbelt at same time. Then again, if said thug isnt brandishing a firearm.. you should accelerate and then re-evaluate engagement. just my $.02

Yeah, in the past I usually keep it at my 4-o'clock. Longer trips can be a pain (literally) which is why I put it by my cup holder (see first post) and looking for a better mounting option.
 
My Ruger LC9 in it's IWB holster fit into the slot in the top of the center console lid (I assume for tissues) perfectly. I'll try to snap a pic of it.
 
Battle Wagon, I like that spot in front of cup holder on you first post a lot. Very easy access for quick draw.

I carry mine on me at all time IWB. But when I get in the car I tuck my shirt in where the holster is.

Made a bonehead move 2 weeks ago and went to a plant nursery in Jersey with my sidearm on me, tucked. Walked around the whole time not aware of it! Only found out when I was about to leave. So when you cross state, know the law. This is a serious offense! Will never happen again.
 
80% of the time I carry on my body IWB Appendix either my Agency Arms G19 or my G43. I can access it when wearing my seatbelt easily just make sure to adjust myself when I put on the seatbelt so my tshirt is out of the way of the seatbelt. Sometime I tuck it behind the holster when my spidy senses tingle.

About 15% of the time nd only on long trips do I unclip my holster and stuff it between the seat and the console.

The other 5% I am storing either pistol in my edc bag or center console safe for venues like the va hmh off body sucks, or the court house etc where there use. Metal detector.

I use a couple different holsters. I like the following.

Phlster
Raven Concealment
INCOG
And a few others. But these are different designs ie chest carry, owb, iwb 4/5 oclock.
 
Glovebox with a locking Blackhawk holster. Personally I like the idea I can just turn the key and lock it up if I'm leaving it for a long time but only a quick push and I can snag it. Let me know if you want pics.
