Mine is terrible quality too. I always get told they can't hear me, even though I am driving slow. Coming from my BMW, which I could be heard with the windows down and a muffler delete.

I didn't catch if the problem is Android or iPhone.
Recently discovered Bluetooth setting under Developer Options in Android. From there you can change the Bluetooth version in use (1.4, 1.5, 1.6), codec (many options), and about 4 different quality settings for bit rate, sample size, streaming rate, and others.

You guys can try lowering the volume if u have an echo or feedback. These microphones aren’t magic and some people have the volume up so high that u can hear the conversation from 20ft away.

Doubt it. I have had this problem with iPhone 6S, 7 Plus and X. It is a problem with the car.

My call clarity in the 4runner is better than using my iPhone 8+. I do have connectivity issues that drive me crazy. But when it works, it works great.

Mine is excellent. As has been pointed out, there are many variables. I'd try deleting and repairing your phone. I that doesn't improve things, have the dealer take a look.

Just Curious if anyone has solved the echo problem? I have a 2017 Toyota 4Runner Limited - iPhone X - People on the other end complain of a horrible echo.

Before the iPhone insults begin. My iPhone X works perfect (Currently) in a 2012 Toyota Prius, perfect in 2017 F150 as well as a 2001 Porsche Boxster. So, the issue seems to be in the phone system and not the Iphone.

I'll try the uninstall and reinstall method folks have mentioned.

Just a delayed followup. Uninstalling and reinstalling my iPhone 7 to my 2017 Limited did little or no good in fixing the echo. When I took my truck in for service and talked to them about the problem, they were unable to come up with a solution. I have been living with the echo, but am not happy about it.

'15 Ltd., get complaints about the echo pretty well any time I use the BT handsfree calling, using an iphone 7, the wife's 7+ has the same issues.

I have an 18 Limited and have the same problem - crackley, horrible sound on my side. I haven't received any feedback from the people i have talked to and I haven't had time to troubleshoot it yet. Honestly, I've been considering replacing the head unit, but don't really want to drop the coin necessary.
