Harsh ride from worn OME shocks/struts?

I've had an OME lift on my 98 for about 5years and a bit over 100k. Over the last year or so I've noticed how harsh and non-compliant the suspension has become. I knew I had some other issues with the rear lower control arms, steering rack bushings, and sway bar links/bushings. Now that all are replaced, I'm trying to figure out what the hell is going on with this thing beating me up.

I don't have a bouncy ride, it's not stable like it should, little sketchy at highway speeds esp when changing lanes on uneven pavement...but, it's EXTREMELY harsh. Took it off road yesterday, just to see if it was just on on road issue. It used to glide right over bumps, now it just jars my teeth out.


So, has anyone had the shocks/struts cause a harsh ride after a bit of time/miles?

100k is a lotta miles man, my shocks worn out from the occasional wheeling trips in 30k

Nope, not on the bump stops. If you are familiar with bikes, when you have preload jacked way up and it doesn't really absorb anything...that's what it's like.

Yeah, that's what I'm leaning towards, I just don't wanna drop $500 on something that isn't going to fix it...I just don't know what else could cause it...This build/rebuild is already getting pretty aggressive on my wallet....Still gotta do the tundra brake upgrade, gauges, high flow cat/resonator/02 emulator ect before I will put the supercharger on

the ride quality is reflection of the shock, your springs are fine, they are doing the job of holding up your vehicle. your shocks needs to be changed. it's not too bad, not 500 dollars anyways.

Also, I keep seeing mention of replacing the Panhard bar...I've still got the stock one on there. Is that suppose to help with stability or just repositioning the rear end so everything is symmetrical?
