Has anybody's hood ever popped open due to ice?

It's been super snowy and super cold here in New Jersey. Today I found my hood was popped partially up. As if the hood release had been pulled. There was some ice in the area of the hood, but it wasn't really anything I'd call problem-causing.

This is about 1 week after my last Toyotacare service. Maybe they didn't shut it all the way, and it didn't work its way loose until right now.

In my opinion, that is exactly what has happened: they did not shut it.

These hoods look 100% closed when they are in fact not.

I’ve had one pop up going 80 MPH down the interstate.

You just gotta SLAM them closed like it owes you money.
