Has anyone bought Expedition One rack?

Has anyone gone with the Expedition One Mule Ultra rack on their 5th gen? I’ve been wrestling with all the rack options and I keep coming back to this as a full length possibility (aluminum, no drill, movable cross bars for sunroof, form fitting and matching vehicle lines). I’ve spoken to the guys and they’ve been extremely considerate and awesome to deal with so far, so customer service doesn’t seem to be an issue.

My other 2 considerations are...

Eezi Awn K9 - either full length or 1.6 m (aluminum, no drill, but interferes with sunroof as full length, so I may go short) - Equipt is awesome and rack is a known quantity on the board
FrontRunner Slimline II w/ channel and 40mm feet (aluminum, don’t know if the channels make it no drill or not - saw pic of [MENTION=154623]T4R_SH[/MENTION] truck setup this way and love the profile, moveable cross bars for sunroof)

I know... I know.... Not another damn rack thread, but help a brother out if you have experience with the Mule Ultra.

It’s odd they don’t have one pic of the important part of the rack - the deck. Tons of side pics but nothing of the deck.
 
Not that I have direct knowledge since I'm waiting on money for doing a front runner rack, but Jason from YouTube fame @swellrunner mentioned a while back he wasn't too pleased with his K9 rack due to sun fading and fitment issues with the deck. I guess after a while the rack starts to come loose at the seams. That's one of the main reasons I'm hoping to go with front runner.

I used to really want a GOBI, but the lead time to ordering and the lack of modularity was a no-go for me.

I saw that same video. He also mentioned that the material itself seemed to get bent easily when he was tightening stuff down to it.

I really do like the no drill part of it too.

But in looking at it more, I might be ok with getting a custom shop to drill holes for me and then I can install everything else myself.

I went with a full length Prinsu because of the weight, low-profile, and modular design. The price wasn't bad either. Drilling the two holes in the roof wasn't a big deal, and the threaded inserts were very easy to put in and seal up. I've had zero leaks, and it's been on for a while now. Plenty of thunderstorms and car washes with no ill effects.
 
Why not a southern style rack? Seems to tick all of your boxes. Mines another week or two out but there are a couple of others running it.
 
I know this is an old thread but I just bought this rack at a discount and was wondering what are people’s thoughts on it??
