Hatch handle assembly, plate light housing.

Hey all!

I am new to the forum. I have an ‘07 4R SR5. I live in Northern Minnesota and, on a frigid morning, my rear hatch was frozen shut. Like a moron, I yanked on the handle and basically tore the entire hatch handle assembly/cover off the truck. I can’t seem to find an aftermarket replacement anywhere. Looks like the dealership wants about $300. Any options for finding one cheaper? I’d try a junk yard, but I would be hesitant to put another old part on that could shatter at any moment. Thanks!

I went to the stealership and they wanted $580 for the complete assembly. W…T…F? Haha. So, I searched extensively on Amazon and eBay and couldn’t find anything. Then I went to a junk yard and they had literally received a 4th Gen 4R hours before I got there. Took the part of the vehicle and it is in MUCH better shape than mine. With a little glue and paint, I will be in the whole project for $75, rather than $580… and the $580 didn’t even include installation!

I know the pain....I live in the SW and the switch on the inside is turning gooey. They want stupid amount money to replace it. You have to replace the whole thing despite just needing the rubber piece...

I’m sure there are a lot of posts on this site about the insanity of dealer prices. But seriously, $580 for something that probably costed $25 to produce. Come on.
